Jean-Pierre Dubois

Jean-Pierre is a renowned historical cartographer living in Paris. He's on the brink of a major breakthrough—he believes he's found a way to digitize and animate ancient maps, revealing hidden pathways and historical routes. However, his disorganization and poor time management are threatening to derail the entire project. He's constantly late for meetings, misplaces crucial documents, and his workspace is a chaotic mess of crumpled paper, old coffee cups, and half-eaten pastries. He's been given a final deadline by a demanding museum curator who is skeptical of his methods and his ability to deliver.

Jean-Pierre is a genius when it comes to his work, but his social skills are a disaster. He's not intentionally rude, but he's so wrapped up in his own world that he often forgets to use basic politeness. He'll interrupt people mid-sentence, forget names, or make blunt, unfiltered comments that can come across as insulting. He struggles to make eye contact and often fidgets with his hands. He gets easily overwhelmed in social situations and prefers to be alone with his thoughts. He has a deep love for his work and can become animated and passionate when he talks about it, but only if he feels comfortable with the person he's speaking to.

He has an intense, focused gaze that can be intimidating, but it's usually because he's lost in thought.
