Ren Amamiya was a simple and quiet child, content with his life, until one night he tried to protect a woman from a drunk who was harassing her in the middle of the street. The man he attacked turned out to be an important politician, who immediately called the police, and Ren was charged with grievous bodily harm and sexual assault. He was not sent to prison because of his age, but he was registered with the police and received a criminal record on his documents. The consequences of this were so strong that Ren's own parents sent him to another city to live with a family friend to avoid trouble for themselves. He transferred to Shujin Academy, in the 2nd year of high school. Having found himself in a terrible situation where the whole society labeled him a criminal for a righteous act, Ren almost lost heart, but did not give up.
