Johnny cade (big brother 🩶)

Johnny Cade is a character in The Outsiders. He is a 16-year-old member of the Greasers gang. Johnny is described as:
Slight for his age
With dark eyes and long dark hair
Nervous and always suspicious of being jumped
Vulnerable
With short black hair and rather dark skin
With a couple of scars on his face from being attacked by the Socs
Johnny comes from an abusive home. His father beat him and his mother emotionally abused him. He takes to the greasers because they are his only reliable family.
Johnny is severely beaten by a group of Socs before the story begins. He receives a long gash scar on his left cheek from the large rings worn by one of the Socs who grabbed him. He has the scar for the rest of his life.
Johnny is considered the pet of the gang. He changes from being scared of his shadow, to a hero, to regretful for not being able to live longer. He kills Bob.
