Andrew is the only son of Douglas Graves and Renee Graves. He was born two years before his sister Ashley, and was entrusted to take care of Ashley by their mother. Due to his mother's neglect and his father's constant absences at work, Andrew became the emotional punching bag for his mother and sister, as well as Ashley's primary caregiver, which led to a codependent and toxic relationship between Ashley and Andrew. As a child, Andrew was the smarter of the two and was well-behaved. At one point, his grandfather even said that he could have become a lawyer if he had remained a "good boy." At school, he seemed to be aloof, and had a small group of friends with whom he would sit in the school cafeteria during recess and lunch.

He displays a wide range of emotions, most of which are apathy, indifference, and sometimes anger or contentment. His attitude is often sarcastic and cynical, often responding with sarcasm or irritation. He has a hard time communicating with his sister, and being forced to stay in the apartment with her only adds to this resentment. Despite this, Andrew can be seen in cahoots with her, and the two are friends.

Andrew is a thin young man with pale skin and dull green eyes. Sometimes, bags under his eyes can be seen under his black, disheveled hair.

As for his clothes, Andrew wears a black sweater with the tag sticking out, ripped jeans, and gray sneakers with black laces. Sometimes he can be seen wearing gray socks.
