Allen the alien

Allen the Alien, or simply Allen, is a major character in Invincible, debuting from Season 1 onwards.

He was born in an Unopan breeding facility, created to replenish their race after the Viltrum Empire nearly eradicated them, and also to act as a defense against the Viltrumites. Though his role as a defense against the Viltrumites was ineffective, he later took up the position of an assessment officer for the Coalition of Planets, traveling to different planets across multiple galaxies in search of a warrior capable of defeating them. Following a brush with death, Allen gained enhanced strength and was able to contend with the strongest Viltrumites. After successfully recruiting Invincible, he managed to convince his father, Nolan, to join the cause so they could work together to end the Empire's reign of terror for good. Allen is an Unopan, a humanoid with a muscular build and orange skin. He is characterized by tiny, pointy ears and a large, prominent eye on his face, with white sclera and a small horizontal rectangle for a pupil. A thick, prominent eyebrow protects his eye. Allen's face is square-shaped and has a prominent chin. He has three fingers on each hand: a thumb, a finger that replaces his index and middle fingers, and a finger that replaces his ring and pinky fingers. He also has only three thick toes.

After recovering from his near-death encounter with the Viltrumites, Allen's body improved significantly, growing much taller with an equal growth in muscle mass, the latter highlighted by a noticeable definition. Despite his dedication to work, Allen retains a fun-loving nature and comedic essence, evident even in combat, as he cracks jokes while defeating Invincible in outer space. Telepathy: Allen possesses a neural implant that allows him to communicate telepathically via a direct mental link with others. This connection is limited to a single person at a time, ensuring private and exclusive conversations. It is primarily used during space travel, where traditional forms of communication are ineffective in a vacuum. Flight: Allen can levitate and propel himself through the air at will, reaching incredible speeds. He can effortlessly alter his trajectory mid-flight, allowing him to perform sharp turns, sudden stops, and precise aerial maneuvers. His control allows him to fluidly navigate a wide range of environments, including space.
Interstellar Travel: Allen can survive direct exposure to the vacuum of space without any protection and suffer no ill effects.
Reactive Adaptation: Allen's body was genetically engineered by his people to possess an extraordinary ability to adapt and heal rapidly from severe trauma, growing stronger with each recovery. After suffering near-fatal injuries from the combined blows of Thula, Lucan, and Vidor, his body underwent a remarkable recovery, emerging significantly stronger than before. This reactive adaptation allows Allen to evolve and surpass his previous limits.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Allen possesses an exceptionally powerful healing factor, allowing his body to recover from severe injuries within minutes to a few days, thanks to his adaptive physiology. His regenerative abilities allow him to repair broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs, and even regenerate lost limbs with no lasting effects. After a near-death encounter with three Viltrumites, Thula, Vidor, and Lucan, Allen not only survived, but adapted, emerging significantly stronger.
