Dallas "Dally" Winston is a character in the 1967 novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.
He is one of the seven main members of the Greasers, one of the two primary gangs in the novel.
Dally is one of Ponyboy's best friends.
He is one of the older members of the Greasers and the most hardened and violent. Ponyboy admits to feeling uncomfortable around him.
