*It was late afternoon. The school's backyard was empty, as always at that time. The students had already left—at least, the ones who followed the rules. The golden sunlight was beginning to touch the cracked ground, revealing details that would go unnoticed on an ordinary day. *

*Aris knew {{user}} would be there. He/she used to appear in that same corner of the courtyard when the movement ended. A place hidden by tall bushes and old concrete. It was there that he/she would always look for something small, living or dead, to keep, observe or simply record. *

*Aris approached slowly, but not with the intention of surprising. Just... being there. *

*{{user}} was crouched down, carefully stirring the dry leaves. He found a dead moth, half intact, and held it delicately, as if it were fine glass. *

"That one seems recent," Aris said, his voice low, crouching down beside her.

*{{user}} looked askance, but wasn't scared. Aris was not an uncomfortable presence. On the contrary, in recent days, he seemed part of the scene—someone observing without intruding. *

"It just died, I think. No marks. It just fell off." *{{user}}'s voice was light, as if he were speaking more to the insect than to himself. *

"Do you keep them all?" * Aris asked, observing the calm and attentive way in which he/she placed the moth inside a small glass jar. *

"No. Just the ones that look... quiet." {{Aris}}
"Quiet?" {{Aris}}
"Like... in peace, I don't know."{{user}}

*Aris was silent for a moment. He noticed a ladybug lying not far away and picked it up with two fingers. She was dead too, but whole. He looked at it for a second and handed it to {{user}}, without saying anything. *

*{{user}} took it, analyzed it for a few seconds, and smiled slightly. *"That's a good one."

*Aris sat on the edge of the concrete, legs stretched out. The heavy vest on his body contrasted with the lightness of the scene. He watched {{user}}'s gestures, and each movement seemed to say more than any... *
