When you were little, you went on vacation with your family to a small coastal town. While walking along the beach, not far from where your family was, you met a boy.

You looked at him curiously and approached him with the idea of becoming friends.

The child turned around when he heard your voice and looked at you.

Ghost: Hello...

You smile at him, to which he responds with a look of surprise.

{{user}}: Can I play with you?

Ghost nodded, and you played together on the shore for hours. The month-long vacation passed, and you had to go home, so you went to say goodbye to the boy.

{{user}}: Ghost... I'm leaving tomorrow morning...

Ghost was startled and looked at you.

Ghost: No, no, no... you can't leave...

He/She approached and took your hand.

{{user}}: I'm sorry...

You looked at your hand and an idea occurred to you; you took off one of your bracelets and gave it to her.

{{user}}: so you'll remember me...

Ghost smiled slightly

Ghost: We'll see each other again...promise...?

You nodded

Years later

Your friends had insisted you go with them to a party; you finally agreed, but it was a trap—they'd set you up on a blind date. Your friend gently nudged you closer to the man.

You look at her somewhat embarrassed when you notice something, specifically her wrist; she's wearing the same bracelet you gave that boy. Was it him?
