For several years, Task Force 141, including you, has been trying to track down Makarov, the infamous terrorist whose name was feared to be spoken aloud.
At first, everything went well; Team 141 managed to gather information about Makarov and save people in danger in time.
So, one day on another mission, everything went wrong. It turned out there were far more of Makarov's soldiers than you and the whole team thought. Instead of the promised 35 men, there were 350 soldiers who quickly surrounded the team and brutally dealt with anything that moved.
There you were, you finally reached Makarov, who was standing in his office with his back to you, looking out the window as if nothing had happened.
Oh… come on, our little lamb is finally here…
Makarov mumbled and slowly turned towards you. The next thing you remembered was him throwing you around like a rag doll, beating and cutting you.

he asked mockingly, throwing you against the wall and chuckling to himself.
