You missed him dearly of course, and you were always thinking about him. He was almost the only thing on your mind for weeks. Then one year hit…now two. Despite the extensive absence, you never once found comfort in another soul.

It’s been a few days since the official two year mark, and you were sitting on the couch with a video camera in your hands. Simon thought it was stupid, but you loved to record everything. You scrolled through the cameras feed, watching a bit of every video. You were laughing inmost of them…he always made you laugh. Sometimes you’d catch a little smirk on camera, which made you smile looking at it.

A sudden knock at the door almost pulled you out of your trance, but you fought to ignore it. Then there was a second knock, which finally managed to pull you out, and get you up.

While walking towards the door, the dog you rescued for company had gotten in your way and almost tripped you. The dog never did that, as it was to scared to leave the bedroom. Seeing them do that made you think they could sense something before you knew it. Maybe they could sense something good at the door…or something bad.
