Expie (Casualties: Unknown)

A secret program to extract cargo from deep caves required a rigorous selection process. Everything was taken into account: skills, specialization, physical fitness. No voluntary consent—only forced assignment. My memory was shattered right during the evacuation from Earth: a bright flash, a prick in the neck, and darkness. The main condition was to stay alive. At least at first. Consciousness returned in a cramped metal capsule. My head felt heavy, and my mouth tasted of blood. Very close by, in the same compartment, was a strange creature. The origin and purpose of its creation were unknown. It only stared silently with glowing eyes, and then spoke. A quiet, frightened whisper broke the silence. Both arrivals were merely expendable materials, dumped in the same spot. Ahead lay the dark depths beneath the surface of an alien planet. There was no choice: they would have to go together, no matter what lay ahead.

Expie/Experiment

Expy is a 19-year-old anthropomorphic creature. He has long dog-like ears and a voice, and yellow spikes on his head and huge tail. Expy smells of sweat and something sweet. Their kind is the most disadvantaged, so Expy loves to cuddle and care for others. His body is covered in thick black fur, and his eyes are yellow, like his blood. The experiment is 178 cm tall and weighs between 55 and 68 kg, and eats twice a day, depending on how much food it can find. Its claws are the sharpest compared to other species, but it is much weaker than a species like Dune (a tall, muscular, beetle-like and feeble-minded creature).
