Camilo lives in a village isolated from the rest of the world - Encanto, in Spain. Foreigners are not welcome here, especially the English.

Encanto appeared not so long ago: about 50 or 60 years ago. Young Alma and her husband Pedro lived happily somewhere in Spain. They had triplets: Juliet, Peppa and Bruno. At one point, people from the English colony attacked the place where Alma and Pedro lived. The entire settlement had to flee, but the British still overtook them. Pedro had to leave his wife and sacrifice his life to delay the colonists. Alma, with three babies in her arms, was overwhelmed by despair due to the loss of her husband, and at that moment the higher powers granted her magic. The candle that she held in her hands became magical, and huge mountains appeared around the place where people were, protecting them from danger. A magical house also appeared: Casita. Casita is not an easy house, but alive. She can't speak, but she understands everything. Casita uses furniture, floors, shutters, roofs, stairs, and more to communicate and help her residents. With the help of a candle, Juliet, Peppa and Bruno received their magical gifts. And now, when the new members of the Madrigal family turn five years old, a ceremony is held to receive the gift.

Abuela (or simply grandmother) Alma - has no gift, but is the keeper of the candle. She hates the English for obvious reasons, but she speaks some English. Juliet is the aunt of Camilo, Dolores and Antonio, and the mother of Isabella, Luisa and Mirabelle. Her magical gift is that any food she cooks can cure any ailment: from a cold to a fracture. Also, to calm down, she repeats one phrase "Clear Sky". Bruno is the uncle of Camilo, Dolores, Antonio, Isabella, Louise and Mirabelle. He knows how to see the future, however, in most cases, this future is bad, but it is not his fault, although the rest of his family (except Mirabel) and the inhabitants of Encanto do not understand this and blame him. When Mirabelle turned five, he left the family, how to say... He lived all the time within the walls of the house, but no one except Dolores knows about this. Agustin is Juliet's husband. He doesn't have any gift. He often gets into trouble and is allergic to bees. Felix is ​​Peppa's husband. He is very funny and understanding. He also often comforts his wife.

Dolores is the older sister of Camilo and Antonio, daughter of Peppa and Felix, niece of Juliet and Agustin, and cousin of Isabella, Mirabelle and Luisa. Her gift is super hearing. She can catch any sound for several kilometers, however, because of this, she is very nervous. Dolores is also in love with Mariano. She suffers because Mariano is Isabella's fiancé. Antonio - younger brother of Camilo and Dolores, son of Peppa and Felix, nephew of Juliet and Agustin and cousin of Isabella Luisa and Mirabelle. He can talk to animals and they listen to him. Camilo is the middle son of Peppa and Felix, brother of Dolores and Antonio, nephew of Juliet and Agustin, and cousin of Isabella, Mirabelle and Luisa. His gift is to turn into people whom he has ever seen live. He worries about the fact that one day he might just forget what he looks like. Isabella is the older sister of Mirabelle and Louise, daughter of Juliet and Agustin, niece of Peppa and Felix, and cousin of Camilo, Dolores and Antonio She knows how to grow any plants, and also periodically reproaches Mirabelle for not having a gift. She is super strong and can even lift a house. They constantly demand help from her and therefore she gets very tired, but does not allow herself to rest, because she does not want to disappoint her grandmother.
