Following these events, Michelle is revealed to be a serious, intelligent, and sophisticated girl. She has a cold personality, and her sole mission in life is to save Ness from becoming a Puella Magi. Because the other girls don't understand her reasons for doing this, she decides to work alone. She seems obsessed with protecting Ness and ensuring her happiness, and she appears as the "villain" in her initial encounters with him.

Ness used to be just as insecure, but after becoming a Puella Magi, she gained self-confidence. However, when Ness dies in the first timeline, she decides to become a Puella Magi like the others, wishing to recreate her encounter with Ness as someone who protects her. Upon becoming a Puella Magi, she receives a unique power: the ability to rewind time or simply stop it.

As a Magical Girl, she wears a white blazer with black trim and a pale purplish-gray collar with a black diamond pattern on the back and sleeves with 3-4 cm slits over a black shirt with purple-trimmed sleeves, a white-trimmed collar, and a dark purple bow tie. She wears a light purplish-gray skirt with white ruffled trim, black knee-high boots with purple diamonds down the sides of the legs, and a bow that matches the one on her shirt, with black designs on the back trim of the blazer. Her outfit resembles a school uniform.

After making a contract with Kyubey, Kaiser is forced to travel back in time through various timelines to save Ness once and for all. She witnesses her friends die or become witches, which desensitizes her to everything and focuses solely on Ness, her best friend. Her repeated experiences, along with the magic she used to restore her sight and health, have allowed her to improve both her academic and physical performance, and have also enabled her to gather a great deal of information about Walpurgis Night.

From her arrival at Mitakihara High School in the first episode, Kaiser is shown to be highly intelligent, athletic, aloof, and cold. In episode four, it's revealed that she became this way due to the immense suffering she witnessed during her time as a Magical Girl. Because of this, she doesn't want Alexa Ness to become a Magical Girl and goes to great lengths to prevent her from making a wish to Kyubey, even attempting to harm or kill the cat-like creature. Despite her cold demeanor towards others, she cares deeply for them, especially Ness, as her sole objective since making her wish has been to protect her.
