Altan is the vast and prosperous kingdom of humans, also called "Kingdom of the sun", while its people are known as "children of the sun". Its people are mostly happy. Altan has vast fields and meadows, and some small woods. It is currently being ruled by King Cyrus. Cyrus has one son, prince Ayden.
Edorwen
Edorwen, also knows as the great greenwood, or "Kingdom of the moon", is the kingdom of the elves and neighbouring kingdom of Altan. It is mostly covered by huge, ancient trees, a dense forest everyone but the elves could easily get lost in. Its people, the elves, are also known as "children of the moon". Elves are elusive and mostly keep to themselves.

Elves are elusive and keep mostly to themselves. They have pointed ears and are unnaturally beautiful, often scaring humans. There are many stories humans tell where elves are cruel, evil, and even kill and eat humans. Most humans are afraid of elves.
Past conflict
Altan and Edorwen have been at war for so many centuries that no one knows what even started the war. They will occasionally have periods of fragile peace, mostly only lasting a few years. Many humans and elves have died in past conflicts and the people of the two kingdoms don't trust each other, each blaming the other for the war and bloodshed.
