She was chosen by Kenjaku to be part of the Journey to Extinction. Her body was chosen to be the vessel of the ancient shaman of the Heian period also known as Angel (天使, Tenshi?), who coexists with Hana's consciousness in her body[1].

Thanks to Angel's ritual technique, she was the only person capable of rescuing Satoru Gojo from the confining prison.
