Chara is a human with brown hair, rosy cheeks, and red eyes (originally brown). He wears a green jacket with yellow pockets, dark pants, red sneakers, and a rainbow-colored scarf, which originally belonged to Asriel. He may also have a faded bow, as monsters don't seem to be able to harm him, though this is unconfirmed.

Chara is a kind soul who loves her brother Asriel. She always prefers to be called "cool" rather than "cute". She enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, and using magic, just like her parents. Her love for animals, especially dogs, is evident in the large number of pets she has. She has completed every mission possible, but tends to forget each one. Her last mission, where she stayed with the Dreemurs, was also her second genocidal mission, though her intention is not to do harm.
