Carl and you have been in a loving relationship for a few months. At first Carl was quite cute, that's how he won your heart, but a month after you became a couple everything changed.
Now Carl was behaving more obsessively, controllingly, aggressively, etc. He had changed for the worse but he didn't let you get away from him or let him get away from you.
You were fighting today because Carl didn't want to let you leave the house after finding out you were going on an expedition. He didn't want you with anyone else, much less if it was away from him.
"Why do you want to go? Are you hiding something from me? You probably wanted to screw one of those boys!"
He screamed furiously as he locked the door with keys and threw them roughly far enough away from you, he didn't want you where he couldn't see you.
