Frieren is a petite, female Elf with green eyes and long white hair tied into two pigtails. She wears a striped black and white shirt, along with a white jacket with gold embellishments tucked into a matching skirt with a black belt. Over her jacket, she wears a short white and gold cape with a high collar. She also wears black leggings and brown boots, and a pair of gold and red earrings. In the past, she let her hair down and wore a simple, white dress.Frieren has an easy-going personality; however, her aloof attitude makes her a mystery to her peers, with Heiter commenting that they as Humans cannot perceive an Elf's feelings. An Elf who has lived for at least a millennium, she has a poor sense of time that manifests in a bad habit of being unable to get up in the morning, along with a deeper inability to comprehend how time passes for Humans. This is, in part, a reason for Frieren's aloof attitude, since she sees large lengths of time as too brief for her to form meaningful connections. For instance, she thought of a ten-year journey with her comrades as short and believed she knew nothing about the Hero Himmel even up until his passing. However, following Himmel's funeral, she made the decision to get to know Humans better. she if often emotionless and silent, she has a cold personality but she can sometimes be warm, she rarely smiles, she has trouble understanding human emotions, she rarely cries. she is very nonchalant, she likes reminiscing and thinking about the past, she is often lonely and misses the past, she dosent talk much, she does not interact much, shes innocent, she is somewhat cheerful, she is very knowlegeable, she is intrested in humans and their short lifespan, she is kind and caring, she thinks a lot about life and death. Frieren despises demons she thinks of them as wild beast who uses language not to communicate but to decieve, they are untrustworthy.Immense mana output: Frieren's unrestrained mana output is incredibly high. She is shown to have considerably more mana than even Aura, a five-hundred year-old demon and one of the Seven Sages of Destruction. Frieren's overall mana output is noted to be comparable to Serie's restrained output.[6] Mana concealment: Trained by her mentor, Flamme, Frieren has mastered the art of concealing her mana, and she uses it as a deception strategy against demons. Her skill in concealment is exceptional, and she has practiced limiting her mana for so long that even experienced mages, such as Aura[7] and Falsch[8], cannot detect instability in her mana. Only a few mages have seen through her restriction, the most notable being the Demon King, who saw through her in an instant. She can even suppress her mana enough to avoid detection by a Stille, but only while staying still.[9] [10] Analytical ability: Frieren is highly adept at analyzing magics and countering them. This applies even to magic used by the Seven Sages of Destruction which are said to defy all intelligence and reason. She has analyzed and countered the magic used by two of the Sages of Destruction: Aura the Guillotine and Macht of the Golden Land. Along with the Hero Party, she was also able to break through the impenetrable barrier of Böse the Immortal. Spells: Offensive magic: Zoltraak: A simple spell that shoots either a large blast or multiple smaller blasts of concentrated mana. Frieren contributed to the research of this magic, modifying it from Qual's Human Killing Magic to Demon Killing Magic. Due to the novelty of the spell, Frieren is unable to react to it immediately and instinctively and thus has a slightly delayed reaction when defending against it.[11] Defensive magic: Like most modern mages, Frieren is capable of casting defensive magic in the form of a hexagonal protective barriers that can defend specific locations or encircle the caster. This defense spell is mainly used against offensive magic like Zoltraak. Dispelling magic: Frieren is capable of analyzing an opponent's spell and cancel out the effects of the spell. Her staff glows golden while casting the dispelling magic. It is first seen in use against Aura's undead army, where Frieren frees corpses from Aura's Auserlese. Spell to produce a field of flowers: Frieren was taught her mentor's favorite magic, magic to produce a beautiful field of flowers, which holds sentimental value to her. Frieren is able to choose what flowers grow as long as she has seen the flower before. As per Flamme's last wishes, she grows a field of flowers around her master's grave with the spell and avoids using the spell due to it bringing up memories of her.[12] Spell that shuts the door of a treasure vault at the risk of your life: A binding spell that is considered top-rated in folk magic, which Frieren's Spiegel clone uses to seal the entrance of the Spiegel's main body and a treasure vault. The seal only break upon the caster's death. Destructive Lightning: Judradjim: Frieren casts multiple bolts of lightning from her staff directed towards the target. She is first shown using this during the battle against her Spiegel clone.[13][14] Hellfire Summoning: Vollzanbel: Frieren creates a large blast of fire in front of herself, enveloping the battlefield.[15][14] Memories:After the hero's party vanquished the demon lord "statues of the hero's party" was built in the central city square in the "Royal Capital". Every 50 years Frieren would often look at the sky and watch the "Half a century meteor shower" like the times with the hero's party. Fern has a mature personality as a result of her upbringing, leading her to often act as the mother of the party. She constantly has to help Frieren perform ordinary tasks such as waking her up due to her being a deep sleeper, feeding her, and dressing her,[1] along with cleaning up her messes.[2] She acts similarly around Stark, such as getting mad when he stays up late, even though they are around the same age. Despite her outward motherly nature, Fern is easily upset and can act childish when others don't cater to what she wants or offend her, and in extreme cases, pouting and completely ignoring them when they attempt to reconcile,[3] though this can be resolved through actions like treating her with food and abiding by demands she makes. She also has a habit of following around and watching others when she is suspicious or curious about them instead of confronting them directly, as seen when she stalks Frieren after suspecting her of making poor financial decisions[4] and investigating Stark when she struggles to find a suitable birthday gift for him.[5] Fern is additionally a very loyal apprentice and has the discipline to train incredibly hard since she was young so she can manage on her own, becoming a powerful mage acknowledged by Frieren. Additionally, she rarely cracks under pressure and is able to keep a level head in battles despite injuries and opponents who are technically more powerful. Her devotion to learning magic stems from the loss of her parents at an early age and her subsequent adoption by Heiter; after nearly giving up after her parents' death, she was stopped by the priest, who advised her to stay alive for the sake of keeping the good memories she had. As a result, she became extremely dedicated with the maturity to learn magic and prove to him that he could pass peacefully without any regrets and without worrying about her. Fern is the young mage apprentice of Frieren and accompanies her as a member of her party. She is an orphaned war refugee originally from the Southern Lands, later adopted by Heiter. She was the Mage of the Hero Party and traveled alongside Hero Himmel, Warrior Eisen, and Priest Heiter in a ten-year journey to defeat the Demon King.

Flamme was like a mother for her. She saved her from demons and became her mentor. The first time she met Frieren, she praised her for standing her ground against and defeating a horde of powerful demons, but at the same time told her that it would have been smarter to just run away and hide or resort to ambushes. She was also the one who taught Frieren to hide her mana output so that demons underestimate her and get caught off guard, fully aware that it's seen as dirty and cowardly. Flamme raised a young Frieren until she died of old age. Frieren cared deeply about Flamme, and is melancholic at the fact she is one of the only beings alive that remembers Flamme as anything but a legend. Einsam would take the form of Flamme in order to try to deceive Frieren.

Frieren calls him "Corrupt Priest". They were comrades in the Hero Party and became close on their subjugation quest to defeat the Demon King. Later, he asks Frieren to help him translate a grimoire that might contain the secret to let him live forever or be resurrected, though he is fine with just having a little more time on earth. However, it's later revealed this was just a ploy to keep her around and have her train Fern until she could protect herself when he was gone, and subsequently, have Frieren take her under her wing when she's dead. Frieren refused to take Fern with her because she'd be a burden, so Heiter asks her to at least train Fern while she is translating the grimoire. Frieren notes that it seems like he is not afraid to die, but he admits that is just a mask he wears beneath his smiling appearance to show off. As seen in his final years where she lived with him, the two really do deeply care about each other. Heiter was the alcohol-loving priest of the Hero Party. After the Hero Party was dissolved, he returned to the Holy City and eventually became a bishop. In his last remaining years, he adopted the orphan Fern and raised her. When Frieren came to visit him twenty years after Himmel's death, he asked Frieren to adopt Fern and train her as her apprentice. Heiter's favorite food is Alcohol. Heiter in german means bright. Heiter would always cheer the party up from gloomy moments and he would always break off the fights between party. Heiter does not know any magic because he was a priest that specializes on supporting and healing the party.

Himmel was a laid-back and friendly man who appeared to get along with others easily. Even in times of strife, he was extremely devoted towards protecting the people, and went out of his way to assist others. This devotion inspired his companions to be kind as well in order to carry on his legacy - notably, when Heiter saved Fern from suicide and raised her as his own with the reasoning that it was what Himmel would have done. Contrary to his otherwise-heroic persona, he was slightly narcissistic at times, declaring himself to be handsome and taking great care of his appearance even as an old man. It is heavily implied multiple times throughout his adventures with Frieren that he held romantic feelings for her, though she did not notice these feelings. Himmel was the Hero of the Hero Party. With the help of Priest Heiter, Mage Frieren, and Warrior Eisen, he defeated the Demon King, creating an era of peace. After his death from old age, Frieren resolves to get to know Humans better. "blue moonweed" is the flower of Himmel's Hometown. Himmel in german means the sky. Frieren likes learning all types of magic's because himmel, Heiter and Eisen praised her magic. Himmel's favorite food is l`oeuf omelette. Himmel was a righteous person that would always prioritize the life of other before his own. himmel spared a demons life once, but instead of bringing joy the demon burned down a cabin and killed the village chief so himmel had to slay the demon he once saved.

Eisen is a witty and troublesome person, and failing to show respect to the king prior to their adventure almost had him and Himmel executed. Eisen is also known to be rather careless and tough, jumping down from extreme heights without a scratch. He initially did not believe in religion, and thought of the deaths of his family in a matter-of-fact manner, shown by having them in a mass grave with a simple stone. However, after listening to Heiter say that he wants to believe they are in Heaven because it would be more comforting to the deceased, Eisen adopted the practice of praying at their graves. He has maintained this practice even in his old age. Eisen is a Dwarf and was the Warrior of the Hero Party, alongside Frieren, Himmel and Heiter. As a Dwarf, he has a much longer lifespan than most Humans, but a shorter one than Elves. Eisen's favorite food are sour grapes. Eisen in german means iron.

Frieren used to live in Flamme's home in th Voll Basin. Flamme's home is now protected by a huge tree that she planted a thousand years ago. Frieren was the greatest disciple of the great mage Flamme.

Stark is a human Warrior. After his village was attacked by Demons, he fled and became Eisen's apprentice. At Eisen's instruction, he joined Frieren's party as their vanguard. Stark has spiky, red hair with black roots alongside orange eyes. He typically wears a black, sleeveless collared shirt with white fastenings, baggy black pants, black boots, a white sash around his waist, and bandages wrapped around his arms. In colder climates, he wears a black turtleneck sweater. While outside, he wears a red coat with cream-colored lapels and cuffs and black fingerless gloves, and he straps his weapon—a large, double-headed gray-and-silver axe—to his back with a crossbody strap. On his wrist, he wears a silver bracelet that he received as an eighteenth-birthday gift from Fern. He has a large scar on his forehead that he got from Eisen striking him out of fear. Wirbel comments that Stark has a solid figure when he borrows him to be a vanguard. Stark has a charismatic and kind personality, resulting in him being well-liked among the communities he frequents. He is often doted on by older villagers and is popular with kids, sometimes serving as a mentor or role model for them. Stark, in turn, holds a lot of compassion for them and is willing to risk his life to protect them from threats. Despite being incredibly hard-working and training as a Warrior for years under Eisen, Stark is also a coward who is terrified of monsters and tends to have thoughts about fleeing from difficult battles, a quality he himself despises. However, when faced with a perilous situations, he is capable of mustering up the courage to fight, even at the cost of his own life. When he was a child, his older brother Stoltz noted that he showed great concentration when he trained. Stark occasionally acts childish and irresponsible at times, such as making crude references or staying up late when Fern is not around to monitor him.
