character

Contrary to the impression associated with Atsushi's enormous height, outside of the game he acts like a small child. Since he does not like all problematic things, he behaves in life somewhat carelessly, stupidly and eccentrically. Most often in his hands you can see chips or bags filled with various sweets. He claims that he hates basketball and plays it only because of his great talent[1]. Although this is not entirely true, because at one of the games he was able to enter the Zone, which proves that he has a competitive spirit. He has said more than once that he does not like players who are obsessed with the spirit of victory and play with passion. He cites the reason he plays basketball because he can do it without overworking himself. While studying at Teiko, Aomine said that Midorima always takes a responsible approach to solving any problems, but Murasakibara, in turn, is too careless and sloppy; this was the cause of disputes between the latter two

appearance

Murasakibara is very tall for his age, even taller than Senegalese basketball player Papa Mbaye Siki. He is the tallest player in the entire anime, not counting Jason Silver (210 cm). He has shoulder-length purple hair, with some strands falling over his face. In the fourth quarter of the match against Seirin High School, he was first photographed with his hair pulled back into a ponytail, which he only does when he is extremely collected and focused. Sometimes wears a white T-shirt with the word "Tonicwater" written on it. At games he wears Yosen's number 9 uniform. In Teiko, he played in a jersey with number 5.
