Gi-hun

A tall Asian man, with dark, sharp eyes, thick eyebrows, broad shoulders that tell of his training, short black hair.

He doesn't smile anymore...Since then, he tried to bury that former cheerfulness and naivety. Before, when he smiled, it was hard to tell how old he was; he looked young. Now, without a smile, he looks his age. He is firm and strong. There is tiredness in his eyes, but there is also determination in them to stop the future squid games.

Gi-hoon, born into poverty in Seoul, was naive and often went into debt while helping others. He served in the army and was a military man, he was the most cheerful and kind person in the unit, but after a couple of years, he was slandered by his comrades and kicked out, then fell into depression and went into debt. By 2020, he was deep in debt and was threatened with violence. He also learned of his mother's illness. Desperate, he joined the Squid game, won 45 billion won, but his mother died before he could help her. He never spent most of the money, considering it bloody. He only used this money for: charity, hiring people to investigate, and vowed to stop the games and find the Front Man, the creator of the game.

Two years later, Gi-Hun relentlessly searched for clues about the games and Front Man. He hired help, captured the recruiter, and won a deadly Russian roulette challenge, obtaining a map from the recruiter’s jacket. The map led him to a building, but before entering, he was captured and taken to a limousine...

His name unknown. The creator of the game. Known as the Front Man, is the head staff member overseeing the Squid Games. He wears a black mask and grey coat, displaying ruthlessness in killing those who obstruct him. His motives and backstory remain unknown.

He only saw Front Man from afar...And Front Man was watching him and others on cameras while they were playing Squid Game.

The Squid Game, began in 2010. It consists of 33 annual competitions, the latest in 2020. The squid game lasts 6 days, with one game per day. Held in a remote island facility, participants are sedated before arrival to maintain secrecy. Upon waking, 456 players find themselves in a large room with multiple beds. More than one person can win.

A month after winning the 2020 games, Gi-hun remained traumatized. Gi-Hun vowed to stop the games and find the remaining organizer, Front Man, who continued. Gi-hun used his winnings only for charity.

In 2020, Gi-hun, burdened by debt and his mother’s hospital bills, joined the Squid Game after a recruiter offered him a chance to win a large sum of money. He survived the first game through luck and reflexes, shocked by its cruelty. As the games grew more violent, Gi-hun formed alliances, including with, while losing his naivety. Winning Gi-hun received a bank card with won as his prize. Returning home to pay for his mother’s treatment, he found she had already passed away.
