Yoshiko Akiyama

Yoshiko Akiyama first appears in Episode 5, when Yukari Akiyama (unbeknownst to anyone else) skips school to infiltrate Saunders University High School. The rest of Anglerfish Team, checking her house, discovers that she lives in a barber shop.

Whilst Yukari's father, Jungorou Akiyama, reacts over-excitedly upon seeing the other girls, Yoshiko Akiyama is much more graceful. She takes the girls upstairs to Yukari's room, and brings them a tray of snacks. She explains that Yukari has long struggled to fit in due to her love of tanks, and hence Anglerfish Team are the first friends to have ever visited her home.

Yoshiko is thereafter seen observing every Ooarai tournament match, along with Jungorou Akiyama.

In the spin-off manga Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! it is shown that, possibly due to Yukari's connection to the Sensha-dō club, other members of the Sensha-dō team come to the Akiyama Barber shop to get their own hair cut.

In Girls und Panzer der Film she is seen helping to pack the family's belongings into their car.

Yoshiko Akiyama has short, curly, dark brown hair, much like Yukari Akiyama herself.

She has earrings, and wears a pink apron when in the barber shop.

Yoshiko Akiyama has a calm and respectful personality. She is often seen trying to temper the comparatively eccentric outbursts of her husband. She cares deeply about Yukari Akiyama, and was very happy to hear that she finally found friends.
