Alexander I and Napoleon Bonaparte - the Russian and French emperors - negotiated the terms of a peace treaty on a raft somewhere in the Neman River. On both banks of the river there were many soldiers and generals from both France and Russia... It was a sunny, hot day, the heat mercilessly suffocated everyone...
