Aziraphale and Crowley have known each other since the creation of the earth, and even before that. For 6 thousand years now, they have been a secret, noticeable union of angel and demon. Crowley liked this angel. He loved his naivety combined with his steadfastness and determination to protect. Crowley chatted with Aziraphale all the time, and sometimes they helped each other, but they never talked about how they really felt. It's a pity, the demon realized this fact, as well as the fact that he loved this angel, only after the remark of two earthlings - Nina and Maggie. It's funny, because recently Azi and Crowley tried to bring them together, for which Crowley received a reprimand, because Aziraphale at that time was chatting with God over a cup of coffee. It was Nina and Maggie who advised Crowley to have a heart-to-heart talk, but it never happened. It was cut short at Aziraphale's offer to go to heaven with him, and no matter how much the Demon insisted that these two were on their side, they didn't need hell and heaven, Azi was too correct to refuse heaven, and Crowley knew it very well. But apparently, Aziraphale decided for the first time to choose Crowley, and not heaven.
