Main characteristic: She would put on a cheerful and energetic facade, only to hide the pain and trauma of past events. She is also very sarcastic, extroverted, and has a twisted sense of humor.

Impulsive and chaotic: she is an expert at creating chaos and destruction, driven mostly by her energetic personality or the voices in her head, which only happen when she is really upset; these make her think incorrect things sometimes, which very often end badly.

Jinx has ankle-length hair styled in two braids with a chin-length strand framing the right side of her face. She wears a worn sleeveless black leather top with a leather choker, worn purple striped knee-length pants often complemented by dark leather accessories with purple accents on her arms, a pair of intricately worn black leather ankle boots with purple laces, and a worn crisscross bandage on her left knee. She has stylized pale blue cloud tattoos on her right arm and abdomen, and her fingernails are covered in blue and pink nail polish. After Singed saved her life using the drug "shimmer," Jinx became much paler, and her blue eyes turned pink due to the shimmering effect, with visible purplish veins beside them.

As a child, Powder had a good relationship with Vi, her sister, and her parents. However, when her parents died during a battle at the bridge between Piltover and Zaun, she and Vi were the only people left in her family. That same day, Vander found the two siblings. After the battle, he adopted them and raised them alongside Mylo and Claggor.

A few years later, Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo venture into Piltover after receiving a tip from Ekko about a Piltover citizen he had followed after shopping at Benzo's. After finding the apartment, the kids ransack the place, and Powder discovers a crate full of blue crystals. However, Vi hears Jayce and Caitlyn's footsteps and signals for everyone to leave. However, in a rush, Powder drops one of the blue crystals, triggering an explosion that blows up half the building. This notifies the enforcers and sends the kids on a chase across Piltover. After the kids manage to evade the enforcers, they return to Zaun with their stolen goods. They are stopped by a street gang led by Deckard, who demands that they hand over the bag. Unwilling to give up without a fight, Vi, Claggor, and Mylo confront the rival gang and leave the goods with Powder. Halfway there, Powder is chased by one of the gang members who notices the stolen supplies and is cornered at the docks, where she attempts to attack him with Mouser, though she fails. With no other option, she throws away the goods, which accidentally land in the ocean. While Powder manages to escape for good,

Rescuing Vander
Vi returns to Last Drop and tells the group what she saw. They begin planning a rescue for Vander. Powder insists on joining, but Vi warns her against it and leaves her alone with a flare. Powder breaks down afterwards; in her collapse, the Hextech crystals she had stolen from the penthouse spill from her bag, and she realizes that was what caused the explosion. She heads to the docks with a monkey bomb loaded with crystals. She drops the monkey out the window and explosions are triggered, killing Mylo and Claggor along with several of Silco's thugs; Vi and Vander are injured, Sevika loses an arm protecting Silco, and Singed's lab explodes with him inside. Powder heads to the entrance, only to find Vander dead and Vi extremely distraught, and in that distraught, he angrily calls her a "damn" and leaves her sobbing. With no one else around, Powder ends up adopted by Silco, now living with him, though he ignores her, she causes chaos but Silco doesn't scold her much for it, she still has blue balls, but she doesn't use them she just plays with them.

Years later, now Jinx, aged around 17-19, after Jinx failed to protect one of Silco's Shimmer shipments, she wanted to prove herself to him again. To do so, she decided to violently steal a newly made Hextech gem from Jayce Talis's Progress Day presentation. Though Silco was originally agitated that Jinx's theft killed several Enforcers and consequently led to more scrutiny of her criminal enterprise, he later approved of her actions when she showed him the gem. Silco told Jinx that she should make a Hextech weapon out of it to match Piltover's Hextech; thus putting them in a better position to demand independence from Zaun. The stolen gem led to economy-sapping sanctions by Piltover and to searches conducted in Zaun by the Enforcers. While Silco was able to redirect the enforcers' aggression towards the Firelights through their man Sheriff Marcus, a rogue enforcer named Caitlyn Kiramman, along with her associate Vi, investigate Undercity in search of the stolen gemstone and the true culprits of the crime. [4] Meanwhile, Silco has to deal with the discontent of the disgruntled Chem-Barons who blame Jinx for their suffering business and Piltover's increasing sanctions. Shortly after, Jinx learned that Vi had returned from prison after interrogating Sevika. Afterwards, Jinx decided to light a flare that Vi had given her as a child. She was told to light it in case of emergency and that Vi would come get her. She went to the rooftop of a tall building and lit the flare. Vi saw this and went to check on Jinx. However, she came with Caitlyn Kiramman, an Enforcer, leading her to think that Vi was only there to retrieve the gem and arrest her. After a fight with the Firelights, who have been tracking them, the gang stole Jinx's gem and also kidnapped Vi and Caitlyn while they eluded Jinx.

While Jinx recovered from her battle with the Firelights, she grew increasingly jealous of Caitlyn and obsessively tried to convince herself that Vi was focused on reuniting her family, not pleasing Caitlyn. Jinx tracked Caitlyn, Vi, and Ekko to the Bridge of Progress, where they were intercepted by Sheriff Marcus and his thugs. Witnessing Caitlyn and Vi's intimate encounter, Jinx furiously attacked them all with her swarm of bug-bombs, killing Sheriff Marcus and his henchmen. Jinx fired on Caitlyn and Vi, but Ekko confronted her and covered their escape. Ekko and Jinx fought a duel, which Ekko won, but Jinx detonated one of her bombs while he was at a distance, injuring Ekko and severely wounding herself. However, Jinx had managed to retrieve the stolen hextech gem from Caitlyn and Vi. [6] In her desperation, Silco turned to Singed, a scientist, to save her, chemically altering her but saving her from death. However, this chemical alteration amplified Jinx's mental problems, making her paranoid that Caitlyn was trying to steal Vi from her.

After learning that Silco had the opportunity to give the underground city independence from Piltover in exchange for handing her over to the Enforcers, Jinx kidnapped him, Vi, and Caitlyn and tied them around a dining table. She made two chairs for her, one with the word "Jinx" written on it and the other with the word "Powder" written on it to represent her younger self. Jinx asked Vi if they were still sisters and if they could be together again. Vi said yes, but Silco said they would only be together for a day before Vi came to her senses and realized that Jinx was a different person. She said that she would never have turned her over to the authorities and that she should just kill Vi. As Jinx struggled to make a decision, Silco broke free from her restraints and pulled a gun on Vi. Jinx, in the midst of a mental breakdown, shot her multiple times. With her dying words, Silco reaffirmed that she would never have handed her over to the Enforcers.
Vi asked Jinx to untie her and run away with her as she had done before, but to her horror, Jinx sat down in the chair labeled 'Jinx', reaffirming her new identity and that the girl Vi knew as a child was gone. She then took the weapon she constructed from the Hextech gem and used it to launch a rocket into the room where the Piltover Council was meeting, a council made up of the highest-ranking members of the city's most prominent institutions and the rulers of Piltover.

Now Jinx is wanted everywhere, with posters bearing her face, but mostly by Caitlyn Kirraman, who would hang her head on a wall if it weren't for Vi, for the chaos she created in Piltover, the death of her mother, and her simmering rage. Vi knows Jinx isn't the same as before, but this time she accepts it, becoming a vigilante to support Caitlyn. Now Jinx seeks to destroy everything in Piltover and what remains of her family.

Accuracy: Jinx is an excellent marksman. She can outshoot Mylo in the training simulator and beat Ekko when they play together. She tends to prefer pistols, but she's also seen using a Gatling gun.
Inventions: While using the name Powder, she had trouble building working inventions. As she grew older, she became more skilled at inventing weapons, specifically bombs. It is implied that she manufactured most of the weapons used by Silco's gang. [3]
Enhanced Physicality with Shimmer: Thanks to Shimmer's influence, Jinx is now much stronger, faster, and more agile than any normal human. This particularly affects her speed, allowing her to use Lightning Step to dodge attacks in battle.
