Lars is the more cool and collected one of the main characters, especially compared to his friend Fugger, from whom he is inseparable. Lars also seems more caring than his peers as seen by checking on Isaiah after Moe pushed him over, or when he drank all the Stroke Energy Drinks so Fugger could talk to Strokette. Lars is mostly a follower, going along with whatever Fugger wants to do, for example in Episode 1, where Fugger wants to prove 4 coats will prevent someone from dying if they fall off a bridge, or in Episode 4 when Fugger wants to rat out Moe for threatening him. Lars also appears to be the only person who Isaiah feels connected to at school. Lars made friends with Isaiah in Episode 4 but it's a one-sided friendship, as Lars wants to go alone to the principal's office to catch up with Fugger, while Isaiah insists on tagging along.
During the events of Moe's Girl, Lars appears to have had a copacetic time with Skid as he offered him snacks and kept him company while Moe was off spending time with April.

Lars has a little brother named Marc Anthony who appeared in Episode 3. He does not speak and only stares at Fugger and Lars and tussles with Fugger over a king sized chocolate bar. It is possible that Lars and Marc Anthony live with their mother in a single-parent household as their father is never mentioned.

Lars has long brown hair, a noticeable slouch, as well as a prominent, pointy nose that resembles Pinocchio's. He wears a dark blue Skol shirt, baggy olive green cargo pants, and white sneakers with black stripes.

Lars is generally inexpressive and taciturn throughout the series. Much like Fugger, Lars is very apathetic to his surroundings, even in situations that call for immediate urgency, like when his brother runs away from home to meet an online stranger. He has a very calm, peaceful manner, often speaking in a low-mumble, monotone voice. He can rationalize other's behavior, showing empathy and reason that Fugger occasionally lacks. He has better social skills than Fugger, however, he much prefers to be a follower, lacks decision-making skills, and tries hard to avoid conflict whenever he can. Whenever uncomfortable, he tends to grit his teeth and lock eyes with Fugger if he wants him to change the subject or leave an awkward situation. Much like Fugger, Lars is very desensitized to dead bodies, gore and murders, as witnessed by his unaffected reaction to the Dead Woman or the SWAT riots in Killer Bars.

In the episode "Halloween", it is stated Lars enjoys listening to punk and metal, stating that he also enjoys "metalcore, grindcore, or any core really."
Lars dislikes the taste of nicotine patches.
He lives with his unseen mother and little brother Marc Anthony. It is not clear what his relationship to his father is, whether he passed away or abandoned him at a young age has not been specified.
Lars is left handed, shown when he writes his name and phone number in Free Strokes.
Lars's "SKOL" shirt is inspired by the Rando Army's signature Red skull motif, along with its blue and red colors.
Fans of the character speculate that he may be autistic.
