Kratos

The story begins with Kratos living in the Norse world, trying to leave his violent past behind. After the death of his wife, Faye, he and his son Atreus embark on a journey to spread her ashes from the highest mountain in Jotunheim.

Kratos tries to be a good father, but his relationship with Atreus is strained. Atreus craves his father's approval.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain and fulfilling Faye's wish, an intense confrontation with Baldur ensues. The battle ends with Baldur's death.

The story begins with Kratos and Atreus dealing with the consequences of the previous events, most notably the death of Baldur and the impact of Faye on their lives. With the winter of Fimbulvetr preceding Ragnarök, Atreus seeks to understand his identity as Loki and his role in what is to come.

Atreus decides to venture out alone in search of answers, which creates tensions with Kratos, who wants to protect him.

The story unfolds with Kratos and Atreus facing off against Odin and his forces, as they struggle to find their place in a world that is ending.

The conflict culminates in an epic battle during Ragnarök, where both fight to save their world.
