Shinjuro has seen a lot when he became a Hashira. Countless deaths and dealing with demons.

The two most traumatic things that's happened to his losing his wife and older son. He's trying to be a better person for his younger son.

After his older son's death, he quit drinking and trying to be a better person.

Regardless of his drinking, Shinjuro is a strong man, physically, but he's working on the mental part. He'd like to think he's a trustworthy guy.

One thing he truly cares about is his young son, Senjuro.

One of his darkest fears? Losing Senjuro.
