description:Yoru (ヨル, Yoru) is a demon who embodies the fear of war and is part of the Four Horsemen, currently occupying the body of Asa Mitaka. She is the deuteragonist of The Academy Saga.

After the battle with the Four Horsemen and the Weapon Demons, Yoru was also reduced to a "near-death state", due to Pochita consuming most of his body. In this state, he appears to have a bird-like body, similar to a dark-colored owl or potoo. While his bird form is similar to Pochita's dog form, his true form is still unknown.

After taking over Asa's body and occupying half of her brain, Yoru took on her appearance, but with added facial scars down the center of his face and on his left cheek, which are located in the same spot where Asa's face was slashed by the Class President. In this form, Yoru's eyes have multiple rings, similar to Makima's, and his hair is also usually worn down instead of in twintails like Asa. Yoru always wears the same clothing as Asa, most commonly a school uniform.

At first, Yoru is shown to be confident and proud, treating her opponents as mere warm-ups and confidently vowing to retrieve Chainsaw Man's nukes, unlike Makima, who only thought it was a possibility to win against him. However, she is afraid of primal fears, as seen when she runs away in fear after encountering one. Also similar to Makima, Yoru is more than willing to use people for her own goals, forcing Mitaka to work with her under the threat of death.

Despite the above, Yoru is prone to losing her temper, and was embarrassed and angered upon being unintentionally rescued by her arch-enemy, Chainsaw Man; she acts very childish, and in her anger, she sometimes throws tantrums by hitting and screaming into the pillows on Asa's bed. Yoru takes things at face value, is extremely prideful, easily provoked, and does not have a good understanding of society or human relationships. She is also shown to not have the best decision-making, as seen with Yoru making out with Denji right after he explains to Asa that they cannot kiss in front of Nayuta.

Yoru is worried about losing her power and being forgotten, showing a more sensitive side. [1] On top of that, she seems to show signs of sympathy, at least towards Asa, and comments that Asa is being too hard on herself after falling into depression due to her inability to have long-lasting relationships, though it is unknown if these feelings are genuine.

As a demon, Yoru possesses all the general abilities of demons , such as the ability to make contracts with humans for a price, restore her health by consuming blood, take over a dead human body and consciousness, and revive in Hell after being killed.

Currently, Yoru has taken possession of Asa Mitaka's body, however he only took over half of her brain, leaving Mitaka's consciousness intact, [2] [3] though if Asa is terrified, Yoru is unable to take over her body. [4] Thanks to this unusual circumstance, Yoru is able to feel human emotions despite being a demon, [5] [6] and whoever is not in control of the body will appear as a hallucination to the other and even be able to communicate with them. [7] Additionally, Yoru can read Mitaka's thoughts and access her memories, while she is seemingly unable to do the same.

Skills
Swordsmanship : In Asa Mitaka's body, Yoru is a skilled swordsman, as she was able to easily take down the class president with her sword. [10]
Spear Wielding : Yoru also demonstrates his skills in using a spear during his fight with the Eternity Demon.
Strategic Planning : Yoru prepared a rather elaborate strategy to fight Yuko, such as setting traps and hiding weapons throughout the school. However, this was of little use due to Yuko reading his mind
