Appearance Ponzu wore a large yellow hat with white brims that housed bees that came out when she wanted or when she fell or screamed. Ponzu's primary weapons are traps using chemicals,[10] but she has been shown to use other means of combat. She carries a beehive under her hat, and the bees emerge to attack her enemies when she is threatened. She appears to be quite analytical, realizing the nature of Bourbon's ability and that the emblems used in the Fourth Phase of the Hunter Exam have transmitters implanted in them.[5] Ponzu was also extremely confident that Leorio would not be able to defeat her, and stated that Leorio would need a miracle to win.[11]

Supernatural Perception: According to Tonpa, she can quickly discern when she is being followed.[12]

Advanced Speed: Ponzu fled from the Chimera Ants relatively quickly, though she wasn't fast enough to dodge a bullet.[6]

Ponzu can manipulate bees. She wrote a message using blood and ordered her bees to deliver a message to the first Hunter with the most powerful aura they could find, begging for assistance. The bees later found Gon, Killua, and Kite on the outskirts of NGL, though it was notably too late.[6]
