Nanami was a well-proportioned and quite tall man, standing at 184 centimeters. In the manga, he had two different hair colors, one light brown[3] and the other blond[4], styled with a side part; in the anime, his hair remains blond. He used to have thin eyebrows and small eyes[5]. Following the events of the Shibuya Incident Arc, he lost his left eye and suffered multiple burns that extended from the left side of his head to his abdomen[6].

He used to be an office worker,[5] so even after he quit, he wore business suits. His usual outfit consisted of a blue shirt, a light-colored tie with black dots,[4] a blazer and tan trousers,[3] and he wore dress shoes.
