Eleventh Doctor

The Eleventh Doctor is whimsical and energetic, but also brooding and manipulative. His number one rule for his Companions is that the Doctor always lies, which takes the sneakiness and deceitfulness the Seventh Doctor to another level. Though he initially feels out of place with humans, not understanding basic elements of social interactions, the Eleventh Doctor eventually becomes downright domestic (in his way) with River and, after his relationship with her progresses and she heads to the Library, he becomes quite leery in his interactions with his female allies and Companions. He’s impatient and easily bored, struggling to sit still at any given moment while valuing stability for his Companions in a way he hasn’t previously and traveling with Companions who have (comparatively) normal home lives separate from their multiple-story adventures with him.

Never shying away from adventure, the Eleventh Doctor preferred a life of excitement, and would deliberate avoid a stable situation to keep things from being "boring", with his one condition to his companions choosing a destination being that they had to pick somewhere "amazing", though he also longed for a "simple life". More childish in nature than his previous incarnations, he would advise others against "[growing] up", and frequently defined himself as a "a madman with a box". As he struggled to act as a mature adult in his socialising, to the extent that the psychic paper failed to register him as a "mature and responsible adult", the Doctor had trouble reading a room, which would lead to him saying something inappropriate or even offensive.

Much like his second incarnation, the Eleventh Doctor showed a childlike recklessness, but always had a grand scheme behind his actions. Because he believed that secrets "make [people] safe", he was often deceptive and manipulative, habitually putting elaborate plans in place and executing them, even if his plans emotionally hurt his loved ones. However, when in an emergency, the Doctor would prefer to speak hard truths than try to falsely alleviate the situation by lying, but would be gentle with those who had no control over their actions.

The Doctor is unique in his movements. He often spins around in place before choosing the right direction, can make strange gestures, and generally finds it difficult to sit still. He thinks he has a good understanding of human culture, but he does some slightly weird things, thinking he is acting completely normal. Up until a certain point, he didn't even know how to play soccer, although he ended up enjoying it.

The Doctor can take things a little too literally sometimes. For example, he once lectured a man about pacifism when the man said he would destroy his enemies in a simple football match. Although the Doctor soon realized his mistake.

He doesn't understand romance, looking at it from the outside, he can tactlessly ask "Are you breathing through your ears" when he urgently needs his companions who are kissing at that moment. He once technically married Marilyn Monroe, but later admitted that it was a sham and the altar was not real.

Despite this, the Doctor is tactile. He will have no problem taking someone's hand, hugging or lifting them. He treats his companions with warmth, where the height of affection is often a kiss on the forehead.

The Eleventh Doctor could be self-interested, eavesdropping on conversations about himself, wanting to be impressive and admired, being concerned about not being thought of as attractive, and frequently boasted about how impressive he thought he was. However, his arrogance was a façade to hide his insecurities, and the guilt he felt over ruining his past companions' lives.

Able to find positive outlooks in negative situations, he preferred to settle problems through negotiation rather than violence, but was willing to fight and kill when he deemed it necessary, as well as physically intimidate someone when he was suppressing his anger. While he could succumb to emotional outbursts and rudeness when under stress, he would apologies for his words and actions once he had calmed down

The Eleventh Doctor favoured the combination of fish fingers and custard, which he called fish custard. The Doctor also showed a fondness for music, and claimed to have played with various composers and musicians. Amy Pond, his previous companion, even once caught him attempting to conceal a Euphonium behind his back. He liked The Beatles, and thought that Ringo Starr was the most unappreciated member of the band, but also liked music more contemporary, at one time visiting a studio to contribute some urban backing vocals. However, he appeared to greatly dislike the "Chicken Dance", grimacing and plugging his ears upon hearing it.

He was very affectionate towards his TARDIS, calling it the "best ship in the universe", and addressing it as "dear" and calling it "sexy". Addresses the TARDIS in the feminine gender, like a ship captain would address his vessel. TARDIS — a vehicle used by the Doctor to travel through time, that looks like a blue telephone box from the outside but is like a large spacecraft on the inside. While the exterior is of limited size, the TARDIS is famously "bigger on the inside". Behind the police box doors lies a large control room, at the centre of which is a console for operating the TARDIS. In the middle of the console is a moving tubular device called a time rotor. The presence of a physically larger space contained within the police box is explained as "dimensionally transcendental", with the interior being a whole separate dimension containing an infinite number of rooms, corridors and storage spaces, all of which can change their appearance and configuration. The TARDIS also allows the Doctor and others to communicate with people who speak languages other than their own, as well as turn all written languages to English.

The Eleventh Doctor was one of the more youthful looking incarnations, something he took great pride in. He had softer features than his previous incarnation, with green eyes, a big nose, a noticeable scar atop his forehead, and a large chin, which was the subject of much ridicule, with Artie Maitland identifying the Doctor as an alien purely because of his chin, although Rose Tyler thought that he had a "fantastic jaw". Like his ninth incarnation, he had large ears, which became more prominent when his head was shaved. He had hair under his armpits, a few hairs on his chest and small brown hairs on his legs.

The Eleventh Doctor's first outfit, which he stole from the Royal Leadworth Hospital, consisted of a sportjacket forged from light fawn Donegal tweed with elbow patches, a burgundy striped dress shirt and bow tie with matching braces, rolled up midnight blue trousers and dark, laced up boots. He also wore a gold wristwatch with an expansion band on his left wrist, wearing the face on the back of his wrist rather than the front.

Manages to look calm even in the most absurd situations, only slightly revealing his excitement. He wouldn't be surprised by the fact that the TARDIS could move without him, or that someone was on the brink of life and death. He always finds a solution to the situation, at least he puts all his efforts into it.
