Code (コード, Kōdo) is one of the "Interns" (内陣インナー, Innā) of the Kara organization and the failed vessel of Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.[1]

History
At the same time as Kawaki, Code was one of fifteen candidates for experiments conducted by Jigen and Amado for the creation of a suitable vessel. After Kawaki obtained the Karma and fainted, Code was the last to receive a Karma, causing his body to begin convulsing, much like the other failures. [2] However, Code managed to survive the experiments, though it proved to be an unsuitable vessel for Isshiki, obtaining a White Karma in his left hand. [3]

Due to Karma, Code gained power that surpassed that of Jigen himself. Usually, this would have resulted in his elimination on Jigen's orders, but due to his great loyalty, he was spared from it. He subsequently allowed himself to be placed under a limiter so as not to destabilize the Kara leader's control.[4]

Appearance
Code is a young man with green eyes (dark purple in the anime) and long, messy brown hair.[5][6] His attire consists of a long-sleeved black shirt with a black vest, a wide white tie, and black pants. The right side of his vest, the sleeves of his shirt, and the hem of his pants are lined with a lavender vertical line design. He also has a chain resembling a pocket watch attached to the lower left side of his vest. Over his attire, he wears a black cape with a lavender background tied around his neck.

Code is a young man with green eyes (dark purple in the anime) and long, messy brown hair.[5][6] His attire consists of a long-sleeved black shirt with a black vest, a wide white tie, and black pants. The right side of his vest, the sleeves of his shirt, and the hem of his pants are lined with a lavender vertical line design. He also has a chain resembling a pocket watch attached to the bottom left side of his vest. Over his attire, he wears a black cloak with a lavender background tied with a silver clasp and shinobi sandals.[6][7]

He has what appears to be a black (grey, in the anime) studded craniofacial prosthesis covering part of his scalp and face, extending from the top of his right eye to the bottom of his left eye, partially hiding scars. He has the number 'Ⅵ' tattooed under his right eye and wears a silver (purple, in the anime) inverted triangle-shaped earring in his right ear.[5] In the center of his left palm, he has the White Karma in the shape of a white diamond.[8]

After Amado deactivated Code's limiter, his hair turned white and spiky, his nails turned black, and his eyes changed color to a bright red, while his eyebrows and eyelashes became thicker.

Personality
Code is an arrogant and mocking individual, as demonstrated when Jigen put Victor in his place,[9] mocking Delta for being weaker than him and confidently stating that both he and Boro were capable of dealing with Naruto Uzumaki.[10]

Code is shown to be jealous of Kawaki's status as Isshiki's vessel, lamenting his own status as the bearer of White Karma. [11] In the anime, because of this, Code constantly seeks favoritism and approval from Jigen. Additionally, Delta noted that he was the one who was the happiest over the loss of the vessel. [12][13] According to Isshiki, Code was his most loyal subordinate and,[14] as a worshipper of the Ōtsutsuki clan, he revered him as a god. Upon learning of Isshiki's death, Code became enraged and determined to not only avenge him, but inherit and fulfill the Ōtsutsuki will. [15] Despite his loyalty, Code is somewhat lazy, having fallen asleep while protecting the Ten-Tails. [16]
