David and Janny first meet at a bar, and she is immediately taken by his charm and good looks. They begin dating, and Janny falls in love with him; however, Janny's father, Steven, does not like him. One night, David sneaks into Janny's room, and they have sex, with David declaring that he loves her. David begins to show his dark side soon after; when he sees Janny innocently hugging her friend and classmate, Gary, David beats him up in a fit of jealous rage. Frightened, Janny tells him to stop, but he pushes her to the floor and gives her a black eye. Janny breaks up with David, saying that she never wants to see him again.
