Ditchlings are an original creation made by Abby Howard. They were meant to fulfill the "creature that chases you through the woods" role. The Ditchlings are a sign of impending doom.

Wayne describes them as bottom feeders.

Their appearance is loosely based on the Fresno Nightcrawlers, but their grisly reproductive habits are stolen from parasitic wasps. They are also slightly based on Mothman, both being signs of impending doom

Whitish creatures, with humanoid appearances, without a skeleton, they reproduce by injecting parasites into other animals, they feed on negative energy
