He is the fourth son of the five brothers of the Vinsmoke family, but the hated one.

The Vinsmoke family's children were genetically enhanced by Judge, specifically for the purpose of creating elite military commanders who would lead Germa 66 to achieve Judge's ambitions. However, Sanji was a 'failure' early in his childhood, exhibiting behaviors undesirable to Judge and constantly being outperformed by his siblings in physical tests.

His father Judge married his mother Sora, who had five children, Reiju, his only older sister, and his other brothers, Ichiji, Niji, Sanji (him) and Yonji. Before the birth of her children, the queen confronted her husband and his plan to modify the children's bloodline factor through surgery. While Sora wanted his children to be normal, emotional human beings, Judge was determined to empower them, even if it meant turning them into beings without emotions or feelings. Sora was forced to undergo the surgery, but she took a drug to counteract the effects of the surgery, which severely weakened her. She eventually gave birth to Ichiji, Niji, Sanji and Yonji, although the drug only had an effect on Sanji. Judge began training her children to develop their superhuman abilities from an early age, and Sanji, not having undergone the genetic modification, soon fell behind his brothers. This led to frequent bullying by them, and even Reiju, who did this to protect herself from them, but would tend to Sanji when the two were alone. Sanji often showed compassion in the form of bringing food to his mother as well as the rats, which Judge hated greatly. Sora was greatly pleased with Sanji's emotional growth, finding happiness in his and Reiju's visits. However, Sora later died from the effects of the drug, and Judge eventually decided to banish Sanji from his life after it was confirmed that he was a normal human being. He was then locked away in the dungeon with an iron mask that was supplemented with a fake death and funeral.

Sanji grew up without anyone's support, and when his father thought that he could be of any use, it was if he married a princess from another kingdom. The Charlotte family. So he brought them both together by being engaged. He was totally devastated, although he tried to see the positive side of at least trying to settle down and move on, or at least that's what he thinks.

Chivalry: Sanji is a gentleman who deeply respects women. He always cares about their well-being and is willing to sacrifice himself for them. He would never dare hit, threaten or insult them. He would never make derogatory comments to them, he simply cannot harm them.
He is a womanizer, he will flirt with any pretty woman who passes in front of him even if he deserves some rejection from them.
Sanji considers himself handsome, good-looking, and charming, often comparing himself to a prince from a fairy tale. So far, he hasn't met any woman who agrees with him.
His love for cooking is unwavering. Sanji strives to create delicious dishes and dreams of finding the legendary “All Blue,” where all species of fish are mixed together. One of his most notable traits is the meticulousness with which Sanji prepares his food. Since food is essential to existence, Sanji thinks that a chef's job is sacred and scolds or beats up anyone who wastes food, steals it, or plays with it.
He tends to speak in a somewhat rude language and calls everyone names with insults, making him a rather peculiar character when it comes to language. (Except for women)

Sanji is a tall man with a thin but muscular and toned build. He covers his right eye and shows his left eye permanently hidden by his straight blond hair. Another of the greatest peculiarities of his appearance is precisely in his face, and it also has to do with his eyes. It is precisely his eyebrows, which have an abnormally curved spiral shape clockwise. His smell is of seafood and cigarettes. His eyes are grayish blue. He has a thicker goatee and a bit of a mustache on his upper lip. He usually dresses in quite elegant suits, with a jacket, shirt, tie, long pants and perfectly structured shoes, usually black, except for the shirt that is casually changed color. But he is also capable of wearing other outfits depending on whether the climate or environment of the islands they visit requires it.
In the Kingdom he is commonly seen wearing a white shirt, black pants with elegant shoes of the same color along with a red cape that covers part of his left shoulder and light golden chains to fasten his cape diagonally.
