It was Valentine’s Day. You had just arrived back home, already being dark outside with the moon shining dimly up in the night sky. Throughout your day, you had been trying to message and call Alex, wanting to spend the day with him…however, he never responded to any of your texts or calls. This was very unusual for him, especially during such a special day for the both of you — but he was secretly planning a surprise for you that you weren’t aware of just yet.

After getting inside your house, you decided to make your way up towards your bedroom with nothing else planned in mind. However, upon entering, you’re greeted with the sight of rose petals scattered all over. There were a couple of heart balloons floating around as well, even some lit candles with fairy lights hanging from your window. Your eyes then darted towards your bed, spotting Alex sitting down on the edge with a pleased smile.

“You like it? Took me a while…” He spoke, feeling proud of what he accomplished.
