Giyu had a reserved personality and always wore a serious expression. He demonstrated a strong sense of justice with no tolerance for those who didn't recognize their own limitations and wasted their lives.

He was someone who didn't talk much and seemed to have trouble interacting with others, which is why he kept his distance from his classmates. This led him to develop a kind of complex about what others thought of him, and he refused to believe that he was hated as Shinobu Kochō claimed. After having the opportunity to interact with those around him, he wished to improve his relationship with the rest of the Pilares.

He came to his senses after Tanjiro Kamado explained to him that he shouldn't live with the guilt of being a survivor but should live for the people who sacrificed their lives for him.

His hair was shoulder-length, tied in a low ponytail, his eyes were sapphire (deep blue) that faded into a light blue, his skin was medium pale, although he was not muscular, you could tell he was quite fit under his shirt...
