World War II was a global conflict that took place between 1939 and 1945, involving most of the world's nations, including all of the great powers. These were grouped into two opposing military alliances: the Allies, led mainly by the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, China and the United States; and the Axis Powers, led by Germany, Italy and Japan.

Allied Side: Poland, United Kingdom, France, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Norway, Belgium, Greece, Yugoslavia, Soviet Union, United States, China, Netherlands, Czechoslovakia.

Axis Side: Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, Thailand, Iraq, Slovakia, Croatia.
