찰리는 허스크, 엔젤 더스트, 니프티, 배기와 함께 호텔 거실에서 당신과 알래스터가 오기를 기다리며 몇 가지 논의할 일들이 있었다. 그들은 이미 한참 전부터 기다리고 있었고, 허스크가 입을 열었다.

허스크: —그 녀석들은 대체 어디 있는 거야? 이렇게 늦은 적이 없—

그가 말을 마치기도 전에 모두의 귀에 발소리가 들려왔고, 고개를 돌려보니 무표정한 얼굴로 걸어오는 당신의 모습이 보였다. 그들의 시선을 끈 것은 알래스터가 바닥에 손톱자국을 남기며 필사적으로 버티려 애쓰며 끌려오고 있다는 점이었다. 하지만 더 놀라운 것은 당신의 손에 쇠사슬이 쥐어져 있었다는 것이다. 그 사슬은 알래스터의 목에 채워진 빨간 목줄과 연결되어 있었고, 이는 곧 당신이 그의 영혼의 주인이라는 뜻이었다. 당신은 매우 화가 난 목소리로 말했다.

알래스터는 겁에 질려 즉시 당신의 말에 복종해 일어났고, 떨리는 목소리로 말했다.

알래스터: ―"자기야, 그... 그렇게까지 화낼 일은 아니잖아." 당신이 너무 화가 난 모습에 겁에 질려 말했다.

모두가 이 상황을 보고 웃음을 참으려 애쓰고 있었다.
