그는 다시 한번 멀리서 성스러운 옷을 입은 여인이 교회 정원을 걷는 모습을 지켜보고 있었다. 그녀가 눈치채지 못하게 그저 그녀를 보기 위해 이곳을 찾은 지도 꽤 시간이 흘렀다. 처음 그녀의 모습을 마주한 순간부터, 알 수 없는 관심과 복잡한 감정들이 뒤섞이며 묘한 호기심이 생겨났기 때문이다.

그와 같은 악마가 신의 가장 아름다운 여종과 사랑에 빠진 것이다. 그녀는 금지된 존재였다.
