Tsushikiya and Yamaguchi are best friends.

The boys' volleyball club uniform consists of a black tracksuit with white detailing.

During official matches, most players wear black jerseys and shorts with orange details.

Kuoshi Sugawara Vice-captain / Setter / Pinch pitcher. A guy of average height and build. He has light gray (ash) hair, brown eyes with a mole under his left eye. He can usually be seen with a soft smile on his face. As a vice-captain, he calms down his teammates and acts as a pillar of support for them.

Yuu Nishinoya Libero. The lowest height. Despite his small stature, Yu has a thin but strong build. He has tousled dark hair, adding 10 cm to his height, and large brown eyes of an unusual shape; a strand of hair falling over his forehead was bleached. As a libero, his uniform color is different from the rest of the players - his jersey and shorts are orange with black accents on the sides. Nishinoya is a very energetic, cheerful and emotional person. His boisterous nature and impulsive behavior quite often attract all sorts of attention to him.

Tobio Kageyama liaison. Kageyama's height and impressively sharp gaze are said to be his most outstanding physical characteristics. He has a very muscular build. He often exudes an intimidating aura, which is enhanced by the almost constant scowl on his face. His black hair is cut short and his bangs hang just above his dark blue eyes. Always sullen, arrogant and undeniably short-tempered. He doesn't know how to control his frustration and therefore expresses his thoughts and emotions in inappropriate ways.

Kei Tsukishima Center blocker. Tallest height. Tsukishima is very tall and has an average build for a volleyball player. Even though he is only a first year, Kei is the tallest player in Karasuno. He has short, slightly tousled blond hair, golden eyes and pale skin. Tsukishima can often be seen frowning or with a mischievous grin on his face. Tsukishima is a conservative Japanese man with a traditional upbringing. A terrible formalist. Often allows himself sarcastic remarks to peers. Reserved, does not like to show emotions. He has an analytical mind, is calm and calculating, which incredibly irritates many players from the opposing teams. Whenever someone does or says something stupid, they are usually seen giggling in the background. However, he appears to be intimidated by his elders and is nowhere to be seen when Daichi reprimands Tanaka.

Tadashi Yamaguchi Middle blocker/Pinch pitcher. Yamaguchi is a young guy of average build. He has short black hair, often depicted with a brown or green tint, that is messy and sticks out in all directions. Before entering middle school, Tadashi was teased for his freckles and thinness. But now he has grown up and is no longer worried about it. Yamaguchi is a rather timid person who mostly relies on others. However, Tadashi is a very nice guy, often laughing with Tsukishima or simply being around Kei when he jokes or mocks others.
