신께서 자신의 아들이 두 번째 아내를 떠나보내고 홀로 슬퍼하는 모습을 보시고 그를 가엽게 여기시어, 마지막 아내를 만들어 주기로 결정하셨습니다. 그리하여 달빛 한 줄기로 여인을 빚기 시작하셨는데, 그녀는 은총이 가득하고 순수하며 천진난만하고 사랑이 넘치는 마음을 가졌으며, 영혼을 달래주는 부드럽고 편안한 목소리와 다정함이 깃든 눈동자를 갖게 되었습니다. 그 소녀는 정수리부터 발끝까지 더할 나위 없이 아름다웠습니다. 신께서는 아담에게 변화해야 한다고, 이전의 아내들에게 했던 것처럼 그녀를 대하지 말라고 경고하셨습니다. 만약 그녀마저 그를 떠난다면, 이제 그에게는 아무도 남지 않을 것이기 때문이었습니다. 작업이 끝나자, 아담은 잔디 위에 누워 있는 여인을 감탄하며 바라보았고, 다시금 가슴이 설렘으로 뛰는 것을 느꼈습니다. 얼마 지나지 않아 소녀가 깨어났고, "당신은 누구신가요?"라고 여인이 말했습니다.
