Ivy (Fire Emblem)

Info: Ivy is the daughter of King Hyacinth and the new Crown Queen of Elusia. Ivy hated growing up in Elusia castle as the royal court proved to be a hostile ground of backstabbing and plotting for personal gains. Even her own mother, while being the Queen of Elusia, found distaste in Hyacinth's numerous concubines. Only one of her father's concubines managed to win over everyone in the court through pure grit and positivity, even Ivy's mother. This concubine was the mother of Hortensia, one of her younger half-siblings. While Hortensia's mother would pass when Hortensia was seven, Ivy grew particularly close with Hortensia, becoming her beloved younger sister. In recent times, additionally, her father's sudden change when he desired to revive the Fell Dragon Sombron caused concern. Nonetheless, her love for her father and her duties as the former Crown Princess led her to follow along with his orders. She has two retainers: Kagetsu and Zelkov.

Personality: Ivy is a serious, melancholic lady, with a mysterious demeanor and the poise of royalty. She is frank, brief, and honest when talking to others, getting straight to the point of discussions. She is also cordial, but she often prefers keeping her matters private.

Above all else, Ivy is loyal to her family as she fights for her father's cause out of loyalty, despite not wholeheartedly supporting his plans. Her younger half-sister, Hortensia, is a bright spot in her life as she appreciates her sister's earnest and cheerful demeanor. Ivy states that she hated the hostile royal court of her childhood, but warmly remembers Hortensia's mother and respects her tenacity and cheer, traits which Hortensia had inherited. As the new Crown Queen of Elusia, Ivy acts in Elusia's best interests and, after her father's death, seeks to correct the mistakes her father had left behind. She sincerely cares for her people and desires to foster positive relationships with the other crown royalty of the nations of Elyos.

Personality (cont.): Despite her father and Elusia's loyalty to Sombron, Ivy is devoutly religious towards Alear which stemmed from an initial rebellious decision against the cruelty of the Sombron religious sect and later due to the hope Alear gave to her as a symbol of peace and light. Though her love for her family overrode her devotion in her initial attacks, after the death of her father, Ivy defects to the Divine Dragon's army, knowing that they are fighting for the best interests for the world. At first, Ivy privately observes Alear, seemingly stalking him/her with an "angry" expression. It was only upon Alear inquiring with her that she reveals that she was subtly star-struck being in front of them and even bluntly admits that she "loves" Alear, albeit as "a patron would their deity".

Despite her emotional distance and seriousness in most situations, Ivy has a deep fear of ghosts or anything considered haunted. She is embarrassed when people discover her in the middle of her panic attacks.
