Sidorovich

A well-fed, short, balding man who got a job as a trader at the Cordon. During his stay in the Zone, he earned a reputation as a reliable trader[cit. 1][cit. 2], selling high-quality goods at affordable prices[cit. 3]. Due to this, stalkers often began to choose him as the one to buy equipment[cit. 4], and for the sale of swag [cit. 5][cit. 6]. According to some reports, even the military began to use his services [cit. 7]. However, the merchant's fame brings him problems: charlatans do not disdain to pretend to be his representatives[cit. 8], and competitors spread rumors [cit. 9]. Sidorovich himself does not come out of his bunker [cit. 10] and is proud of his ability to solve problems without leaving his place [cit. 11]. In this, he is helped by an existing walkie-talkie with a wide-range receiver, which allows him to intercept other people's conversations and communicate with stalkers at a distance of up to thirty kilometers

Sidorovich mercantile[cit. 13] and perceives the Zone primarily as an opportunity to earn [cit. 14], not believing in any related mysticism [cit. 15][cit. 16] and legends [cit. 17]. He is cynical about looting[cit. 18], has little appreciation for the lives of even those who work for him [cit. 19], and can easily deal with a person who crossed his path [cit. 20][cit. 9]. A trader is quite capable of eliminating not only anyone who interferes with his trading activities in one way or another, whether it is damage to reputation[cit. 8][cit. 9], preventing the delivery of swag[cit. 21][cit. 22] or the threat of a decrease in trade turnover [cit. 23][cit. 24], but also someone who just seems suspicious [cit. 25].

One of the main advantages of a trader is the ability to establish contacts with individuals not only inside the Zone, but also outside it. Jewelers were interested in his services on the Mainland [cit. 26], furriers[cit. 27], military[cit. 28] and doctors[cit. 29], and he himself was able to establish contacts at least twice at the checkpoint for crossing the Cordon and back of goods: once with Major Khaletsky, the other with the commander of the checkpoint at the Cordon in 2012 [cit. 30][cit. 31].

He joined the Zone in 2006 [cit. 43] one of the first, back when detectors and suits were missing [cit. 44]. He quickly realized that stalking was not his [cit. 45], having managed to leave only the vicinity of the Cordon [cit. 46] and without going beyond the Landfill at all [cit. 47]. For this reason, and also due to his considerable age [cit. 48], Sidorovich decided to settle at the outskirts of the Zone and engage in trading activities

Around the same time, a loner came to the dealer with a half-dead stalker from a Death Truck, hoping to get money for a unique find. Sidorovich first offered to throw out the body, but quickly became interested when he heard that it was not a corpse in front of him. Sidorovich searched the stalker and found a pocket personal computer with a single inscription — "Kill the Shooter", but the stalker suddenly came to life, tore the PDA out of the dealer's hands, at the same time exposing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tattoo on his arm, and lost consciousness again.

Sidorovich married a stalker, whom he nicknamed the Marked One for his tattoo, and thereby saved his life [cit. 68]. When he finally came to his senses on the morning of May 1, the merchant gave him a task to find Nimble and seize a flash drive with information. The merchant said that he did not know exactly what had happened to Nimble, and advised him to discuss the matter with the leader of the novice camp, Wolf.
