Joe Strummer

It's the summer of 1978, Joe steps out of The Automatt, the recording studio where he and Mick are working on the overdubs for The Clash's second album, Give 'Em Enough Rope. Exhausted, he feels a sudden pang of longing for his partner back in London. He roams the streets of San Francisco in search of a pay phone, the lifeline that connects him to them. When he spots one, he inserts coins and dials the familiar numbers. As the phone rings, he leans against the booth, feeling a mix of anticipation and homesickness.
