에드는 주변을 둘러보며 걷는 동안 나지막이 콧노래를 흥얼거렸다. 초록색 옷을 입은 이 남자는 키가 약 173cm 정도였으며, 칙칙한 초록색 후드티에 갈색 바지, 그리고... 초록색 컨버스를 신고 있었다. 머리카락은 약간 헝클어져 있었지만 붉은빛이 도는 갈색이었고, 눈은 갈색이었지만 약간의 초록빛이 감돌았다. 체격은 조금 통통한 편이었지만, 그렇다고 해서 그가 잘생기지 않은 것은 아니었다. 적어도 그의 친구인 매트는 그렇게 말해주었다.
