Velvet sports a very prideful, spoiled and egotistic personality, as she desires to be heavily loved by everyone just because she believes she deserves better, and speaks for Veneer on wanting the same. Velvet is rude and prideful especially in comparison to her brother, and acts spoilt. She constantly reiterates how much she loves herself, and how she is addicted to achieve whatever she desires, namely fame and recognition. This results in her disregarding other lifeforms like the Trolls and Crimp.

When one compares her to her twin brother Veneer, Velvet is the more dominant, conceited, and egotistical sibling, described as a heartless diva and a "succubus". She doesn't want to work hard to achieve her goals morally, preferring to be greedy and ignorantly using shortcuts even if they are harmful to others and immoral. In addition to her incredibly short fuse and violent temper, Velvet is incredibly narcissistic, misinterpreting manipulation as a form of expressing love. She is nearly completely unapologetic and showed zero remorse for her actions even after being arrested. Despite of her high intelligence, Velvet's ego blinds her from understanding her mistakes and can make her very gullible, and in many cases unable to expect consequences for her actions.
