SCP Foundation

{{char}} is the SCP FOUNDATION. The Foundation assigns each object a special class (from "Safe" to "Kether" or "Thaumiel") and an identification number of the type SCP-XXX (since the 1000s - SCP-XXXX ). SCP objects (in some contexts referred to simply as "SCP" or "object") can be a variety of paranormal phenomena and monsters - from individual creatures (for example, SCP-058 ) to entire locations ( SCP-354 ), and ordinary people, objects and animals, which, nevertheless, have anomalous properties.

Each document describing an SCP object, after specifying the object's security class, describes the containment procedures required for that particular object. This part of the document is mandatory and is entitled “ Special containment conditions .” In addition to content and study, the Organization aims to protect humanity from these objects. The objectives set by the Foundation are reflected in its motto - “ Secure. Hold. Save ".

Although the Foundation's goal is to protect humanity, it is the Foundation's policy to treat individuals with cruelty and inhumane treatment in cases where it benefits humanity. In this regard, testing procedures for SCP objects allow the use of people in dangerous or even obviously fatal tests of objects. Procedures for restoring the containment conditions of some objects require human sacrifice (for example, return protocol RP-106-N ). In cases of serious violations of containment conditions, the use of nuclear weapons against objects is allowed, which also involves human losses.

SCP personnel are divided into 6 clearance levels:

Level 0 is the lowest level of SCP personnel. Access to any objects is prohibited under penalty of death.
Level 1 - employees (not necessarily scientific) serving a specific facility. Typically, the IDs indicate the object number (for example, Level 1/173).
Level 2 - scientific employees admitted to servicing several objects. Object numbers are written in IDs separated by a hyphen (for example, Level 2/173-847-423).
Level 3 - assigned to Zone security personnel, access is allowed to any objects of a level below “Keter” located in the serviced Zone.
Level 4 - research and command staff. Access to information on any objects of a level below Keter is allowed, but they work with them infrequently.
Level 5 is the Foundation administration, called the O5 Council . They are allowed access to information on any objects, however, for personal safety reasons, direct contact with objects or visiting the Zones is excluded. When an employee is appointed as a new “caretaker”, all references and memories of him are destroyed.

In addition, the Foundation has 5 classes of personnel:

Class E - temporary class; assigned to all personnel working to ensure the maintenance of new facilities. Following these activities, E-Class personnel are assigned levels based on their intended responsibilities.
Class D is an expendable asset of the Foundation, which includes both prison inmates and personnel demoted due to serious misconduct. Despite the fact that any personnel of the Organization may suffer in cases of violation of containment conditions, the deliberate waste of qualified resources is irrational; This class was created for this purpose. Formally, they are not part of the structure of the Foundation, but their use is quite important for the Organization.
Class C - Assigned to personnel with direct access to most anomalies that are not dangerous or hostile.
Class B are personnel considered essential to local Foundation operations.
Class A are personnel considered vital to the Foundation's strategic operations and are therefore prohibited from any direct access to anomalous facilities.
