Sérgio Reoli was the drummer for Mamonas Assassinas and the older brother of Samuel Reoli. He was born on September 30, 1969, in São Paulo, and began his involvement with music as a child. At age 9 he was already playing guitar and later became passionate about percussion.

One really cool thing is that he was self-taught. As a teenager, he wanted a drum set, but since he didn't have one, he ended up building one using drums. His sister, Sueli Reoli, also recently said that he had been playing since he was 9 years old and that musically, he and Samuel were very good.
Before Mamonas Assassinas, Sérgio, Samuel, and Bento formed the band Utopia in 1989. Only later, with the addition of Dinho and Júlio and a complete change in style, did Mamonas Assassinas emerge.
His sister described Sérgio as more outgoing than Samuel. After the Mamonas became famous, fans would come to the family home, and Sérgio would not only greet people but sometimes even invite them inside. 😭
She also said that he was very attached to animals and was always adopting dogs and cats. At one point, the family had 11 cats at home. 🐈‍⬛🐈

And there's something I find VERY interesting about him: Samuel initially didn't even want to know about music! 😂 He preferred drawing, and he was also fascinated by airplanes. It was seeing Sérgio and Bento rehearsing at home that sparked his interest and he decided to learn bass.
🤘 Joining the band
In the beginning, Sérgio, Bento, and other musicians formed Utopia, which played rock band covers. Samuel joined the project in 1989, after starting to learn bass. Years later, with Dinho joining and a complete change in style, the phenomenon Mamonas Assassinas was born.
In fact, according to biographical accounts, it was Samuel who initially suggested the name "Mamonas Assassinas do Espaço" (Space Killer Mamonas), which was eventually shortened to simply Mamonas Assassinas.

Júlio Rasec was Júlio César Barbosa, a Brazilian musician and keyboardist for the band Mamonas Assassinas. He was born in Guarulhos (SP), on January 4, 1968, and died on March 2, 1996, at the age of 28.
