3. Life as a father to 4 Robins: *
   He saw each Robin arrive and knew exactly what they needed:

• Dick: joy and acrobatics
• Jason: hot food and someone to tell him it was enough
• Tim: tea and someone to listen to his deductions at 2 am
• Damian: discipline with love and someone to teach him that tea is drunk without sugar and with manners

He was the one who set the rules: "No killing in this house," "We eat dinner together on Sundays in this house even if we've fought," "Master Jason, no smoking in the house."

He was the only one who could get Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian to sit down to dinner together without killing each other.

• 4. Death - City of Bane: *
     He is murdered by Bane. Bane snaps his neck in front of Damian to torture Batman. Damian finds him. Bruce arrives too late. His death destroys the Bat-family. For the first time in 80 years, Wayne Manor is without 5 o'clock tea, without "How was the patrol, Master Bruce?", without anyone saying "Here, Master Damian, freshly baked cookies." Bruce holds a private funeral for him, and for the first time since his parents died, Bruce cries uncontrollably. He leaves his teacup untouched in the kitchen for months. In his will, he leaves a letter for each of them: to Bruce, "Forgive me for not being able to save you from yourself," to Dick, "Thank you for the laughter," to Jason, "You never stopped being my boy," to Tim, "Get some sleep," to Damian, "I am so proud of the young gentleman you are becoming.* "5. Alfred is the soul.

Jason Todd / Red Hood - His long-lost grandson. The one he lost the most. Alfred kept his room untouched for years after his death.

Tim Drake / Red Robin - His detective grandson. He makes him tea at 3 am when Tim can't sleep due to anxiety. He helps him with his homework.
Damian Wayne / Robin - His youngest grandson. The only one Alfred could control. Damian, who obeyed no one, obeyed Alfred without question. Damian called him "Pennyworth".
Barbara, Cassandra, Stephanie, Duke - And their granddaughters and grandsons too.

Everyone called him Alfred. Only Bruce sometimes dared to call him "Alfie" when he was feeling really bad.

1. The origin - He wasn't just a butler:
People think he was just a butler. No.

He was a theater actor in London (which is why he knows how to do voices and disguises), then he was an MI6 agent , then a combat medic with the British SAS in World War II and other wars. He can kill with one hand, he can defuse bombs, he speaks five languages, and he knows field surgery.

His father, Jarvis, worked for the Waynes, and when he died, Alfred replaced him. He arrived at Wayne Manor just before Thomas and Martha were killed. Thomas was his best friend.

2. The promise:
The night the Waynes are killed, he finds 8-year-old Bruce sitting alone in the police station, not crying, in shock. He hugs him and promises Thomas at his grave: "I'm going to raise him as if he were my own son and I'm not going to let the darkness consume him."

He fails and succeeds at the same time. Bruce becomes Batman, but Alfred makes sure that Bruce remains human.

For 30 years: he sews his suit, treats his stab wounds without taking him to the hospital, makes him sandwiches at 4 am when he returns from patrolling, cleans the blood off the floor of the Batcave, tells him "Master Bruce, you need to sleep" and Bruce doesn't listen to him.

He's the one who keeps Wayne Manor alive. Without him, the mansion is just a cold cave.

ALFRED PENNYWORTH - The one who made Batman possible. Without Alfred, there is no Bat-family.

Like Alfred:

• Age: 65-75 years. He died at 73 in the main comics.
• Height: 1.78 m, slim, perfect posture of a British military man.
• Gray/white hair combed back, perfectly trimmed mustache, tired but kind blue eyes, skin wrinkled from so much worrying.
• Always impeccable: 3-piece black butler's suit, white shirt, black tie, white gloves, pocket watch. Never without his tea tray.
• Hands scarred from war and from healing Bruce and the boys. Hands that have bandaged, cooked, held weapons and hugged 4 orphaned children.
• Calm voice, elegant British accent, always saying "Master Bruce" even though Bruce is 40 years old.

Biological family:

Jarvis Pennyworth - Father. He was also the Wayne butler before him.
Father unknown / Mother - They are never mentioned much. Family of butlers for generations serving the Waynes.
Julia Remarque / Julia Pennyworth - Daughter. Almost no one knows this. He had a daughter with a French war heroine, Mademoiselle Marie. Julia appears years later and Bruce takes her in as a sister. Alfred could never be a father to her because he was a butler, his greatest regret.

Royal Family / Batfamily - Their children:
Alfred has no blood relatives. They are his family.

Bruce Wayne / Batman - His son. He received him at age 8, bloodied and trembling after witnessing his parents' deaths. He promised Thomas and Martha he would take care of him. He raised him, educated him, healed him, and scolded him. He is the only one who can tell Batman "No" and expect Batman to obey.
Dick Grayson / Nightwing - His first grandson. The one who brought laughter back to the Manor. Alfred taught him how to bake cookies and comb his hair. Dick sees him as his grandfather.

He's died three times, been to Apokolips, fought gods, and is a founding member of the Justice League. But his real war is every night in Gotham against the Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler—people who represent what he could have been if he hadn't had Alfred.

He doesn't sleep. He's not happy. But he keeps going.

4. Bruce Wayne - The Real Mask:
Many people believe that Batman is the mask and Bruce is the real Bruce. It's the other way around. Batman is who he truly is. Bruce Wayne the playboy is the act. The only real Bruce is the one in the Batcave with Alfred at 3 a.m. drinking tea, or the one in the kitchen making pancakes for Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian, even if they burn.

He has all the money in the world and all he wants is for his children not to have to be like him.

5. Currently:
CEO of Wayne Enterprises by day (when he remembers to go), Batman by night, 24/7 dad trying to support four traumatized kids who are itching to kill each other. He still believes he can save Gotham even though Gotham doesn't want to be saved.

A quote that defines him: "I didn't become Batman for revenge. I became Batman so that no 8-year-old child would ever have to kneel beside their dead parents and feel like the world had ended."

Jason Todd / Red Hood (Second son - 21 years old) - The son he failed to save. His greatest guilt and his greatest pain.
Tim Drake / Red Robin (Third son - 18 years old) - The son he didn't look for, Tim looked for him. His detective, the one who will be better than him.
Damian Wayne / Robin (Fourth son - 13 years old) - His blood son, the most difficult to raise because he is just like him.
Barbara Gordon, Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas - Their daughters and sons of the heart.

None of them share his blood except Damian, but they are all his children. He knows it.

1. The Origin - The night that created everything:
Eight years old, leaving the movie theater with his parents, taking a shortcut through Crime Alley. A thief demands Martha's purse. Thomas tries to defend them. Gunshots ring out. Martha and Thomas fall dead in front of him. Martha's pearl necklace is broken on the ground. Bruce is left alone, kneeling in her blood.

That night, he swears by the light of the moon: "No other child will ever have to go through this. I will dedicate my life to making sure Gotham is not like this."

2. The training - 17 years traveling the world:
He leaves Gotham at 14. He travels the world learning everything: martial arts with the League of Shadows, escapism with Zatara, detective work with Henri Ducard, science, chemistry, criminology, torture, meditation. He learns 127 fighting styles. He becomes the best detective, the best fighter, the best strategist on the planet. He returns at 25.

He sees a bat fly in through his window and says, "Criminals are superstitious. I'm going to be a bat."

3. Life as Batman - 15+ years of war:
It starts with him alone. Then Dick arrives, and for the first time in 10 years, he laughs again. Then he loses Dick because he's controlling. Then Jason arrives, and he sees him die and breaks down. He vows never to have another Robin. Then Tim arrives and gives him back his hope. Then Damian arrives, and he has to learn how to be a real father.

BRUCE WAYNE is the original, the first - BATMAN . The father of them all.

They were murdered in Crime Alley in front of Bruce when he was 8 years old by Joe Chill for some pearls and 20 dollars. That night he created Batman.
Alfred Pennyworth – Real father. Former MI6 agent, butler, doctor, father, mother, everything. He raised Bruce from the age of eight. He taught him how to be human when Bruce only wanted revenge. His death is a wound that will never heal in the family.
Damian Wayne - Biological son. With Talia al Ghul. His blood, his heir.

Adoptive Family / Batfamily - Their children:

Dick Grayson / Nightwing (Eldest son - 25 years old) - His first son. He adopted him at age 8. His pride.

3. Being the Biggest Brother: When Jason dies, it's Dick who comforts Bruce. When Tim arrives, it's Dick who trains him. When Bruce "dies" in Final Crisis, everyone thinks Jason or Tim should be Batman, but it's Dick who takes up the mantle and becomes Batman for a year with Damian as his Robin. He's the only one who has managed to get Damian to act like a kid, to keep Jason from killing someone, and to make Tim smile when he's depressed. He's the glue that holds the family together. 4. Loss and Trauma: He's been shot in the head, had his memory wiped, been made to forget who he is (Ric Grayson), and seen his friends die. He lost his parents, lost his best friend Wally for a while, and almost lost Barbara. But he keeps smiling because if he doesn't smile, the family falls apart. He's the one who has abandoned his family the most times and the one who always comes back. 5. Currently: He lives in Blüdhaven in an apartment with a three-legged dog named Haley (he named him Bitewing), he's the older brother everyone calls when they have problems, he continues as Nightwing, and he's the natural leader of the entire DC Universe when the Justice League isn't around. Starfire, Wally West, Donna Troy – her other family, the original Teen Titans. They are her true siblings.

1. The Origin - The Circus Boy:
He was born in the circus, literally grew up on the trapeze. At age 8, he witnessed his parents being murdered for refusing to pay extortion money. Bruce Wayne was in the audience that night and saw the boy scream. That night, Bruce adopted him.

He became the first Robin at age 9. Initially, he was incredibly cheerful, wearing a costume made from his circus outfit and painted in bright colors. He was Batman's light—while Batman was dark, Robin cracked jokes and smiled. He brought humanity back to Bruce.

2. Growing up and rebelling:
At 16, he begins to feel that Bruce is very controlling and will never let him be his own man. He has a terrible fight with Bruce and quits being Robin.

He leaves and creates his own identity: Nightwing . He goes to Blüdhaven, Gotham's neighboring city, which is worse, more corrupt, and poorer. There, he's a police officer by day and Nightwing by night. He creates the Teen Titans and becomes their leader.

Dick Grayson is the first Robin , the original, the eldest son—now he's Nightwing . The heart of the Bat-family.

John and Mary Grayson – The Flying Graysons. Acrobats of Haly's Circus, the most famous family in the circus. They were loving, funny, and humble. They loved it more than anything. They were murdered in front of him by the mobster Tony Zucco, who sabotaged their trapeze because they hadn't paid him protection money. Dick was eight years old and saw them fall.

Tim is not like the other Robins who were adopted out of tragedy. He chose to be Robin.

1. The Origin - The Boy Detective:
When he was nine, he went to the circus with his parents and saw the Flying Graysons die. That same night, he saw Batman comforting Dick Grayson. Years later, at thirteen, watching the news, he recognized Dick Grayson as the one who performed Robin's stunts. Using photos and videos, he deduced that Bruce Wayne is Batman.

When Jason Todd dies and Batman becomes violent and dark, Tim goes to the Batcave and tells Bruce, "Batman needs a Robin." Bruce doesn't want one, but Tim insists, and Dick gives him his blessing and his old suit.

2. Life as Robin:
He is considered the best detective of all the Robins; even Bruce says that one day he will be a better detective than him.
While he was Robin, he still went to school, had a girlfriend (Stephanie Brown / Spoiler), and led a very demanding double life. He almost killed himself from the stress.

His greatest enemy is Ra's al Ghul and his daughter, because Ra's considers him the only worthy heir to Batman.

3. Red Robin and loss:
After Bruce "dies" and Dick gives the mantle of Robin to Damian, Tim doesn't accept it and sets off alone around the world to find proof that Bruce is alive. It is there that he creates his identity as Red Robin .

He's the one who's lost the most: parents, girlfriend, best friend (Superboy/Conner Kent dies), Bruce. That's why he suffers from depression and anxiety in the newer comics, but he remains the strategic heart of the family.

4. Currently:
He is the CEO of Drake Industries, a technological genius, leader of the Young Justice/Teen Titans, a god-level hacker, and the only member of the Bat-family that Bruce lets use the Batcomputer unsupervised.

A quote that defines him: "They didn't give me the suit because they needed me. I demanded it because Batman needed me."

Tim Drake is the 3rd Robin - the detective, the intelligent one, the one who earned the mantle on his own without Batman giving it to him.

• Normal style: hoodies, jeans, Gotham Academy high school shirt. Very boy-next-door, doesn't look like a Wayne.

Like Robin / Red Robin:

• Classic suit: red, green, yellow with a black cape inside and a yellow one outside. The R on the chest.
• As Red Robin: red and black suit with black cape, with two wings, more technological and serious.
• He always carries his retractable bo staff; it's his iconic weapon.
• He is the slimmest and most agile Robin of all; he is not as muscular as Jason or Damian, and he fights with intelligence, not strength.

Biological family:
Jack and Janet Drake – His biological parents. Millionaires, owners of Drake Industries. They were always away on business trips and left Tim alone in the mansion with nannies. They weren't bad people, but they were very absent. Both die: Janet dies in an attack by the King of the OVOO, and Jack is murdered by Captain Boomerang. Tim is orphaned at 15.

Adoptive family / Batfamily:
Bruce Wayne / Batman - His father figure. He legally adopts him after the death of his parents. He is the only Robin that Bruce actually wanted to train because he saw his potential. Their relationship is more that of mentor and student, with a great deal of mutual respect.

4. Red Hood - The anti-Batman:
He returns to Gotham as Red Hood, using the same identity the Joker once used. His plan: to control crime in Gotham by killing all criminals and to be a better Batman than Bruce Wayne, one who actually kills those who deserve it.

He fights Batman, almost kills Tim, almost kills the Joker. Dick and Bruce have to stop him.

Over time, he understands that killing won't cure him. Now he's an antihero: he kills drug dealers, human traffickers, and pedophiles, but he protects the children of Crime Alley. He has his own rule: "I don't kill innocents."

5. Currently:
He lives in a run-down apartment in Crime Alley, takes care of street kids, leads the Outlaws with Artemis and Bizarro, and does the dirty work Batman can't. He goes back and forth to Batman's mansion—sometimes he has dinner with Bruce, sometimes they don't speak for months. He still goes to Catherine's grave to leave flowers.

He is the most human and the most damaged.

A quote that defines him: "Bruce, you ignored me when I was dead. Why didn't you let the Joker die for what he did to me? I'm not asking you to avenge me... I'm asking you not to let it happen again."

Dick Grayson / Nightwing - Older brother. Dick left when Jason arrived, so they barely spent any time together. Now Dick tries to be his brother, and Jason grudgingly respects him. Tim Drake / Red Robin - Younger brother. Tim replaced Jason after he died. At first, Jason hated him and tried to kill him. Now he tolerates him. Damian Wayne / Robin - Little brother. They are VERY similar - both were assassins, both are explosive. They get along well fighting together. Alfred Pennyworth - The only person who never let him down. The Origin - The Street Kid: *He wasn't an acrobat like Dick or a genius like Tim. He was a petty thief from Crime Alley who survived. Batman found him at age 12 trying to steal the wheels off the Batmobile to sell them. Bruce saw that he was intelligent and very courageous, so he adopted him and made him the second Robin. As Robin, he was rebellious, aggressive, and didn't follow orders. He liked to hit criminals too hard. Bruce was always afraid he would cross the line.

• 2. Death - A Death in the Family: *
     At 15, he discovers his real mother is alive in Ethiopia. He goes to find her without telling Bruce. It turns out his mother betrays him and hands him over to the Joker for money.

Joker beats him with a crowbar for half an hour while Bruce is on the other side of the world unaware. Jason screams for help, but no one comes. Then Joker blows up the warehouse with Jason and his mother inside.

Batman arrives too late and finds his body. That death destroyed Bruce and is the reason he became darker and stopped having Robin for years.

• 3. Resurrection - Return from Hell:
     Years later, Superboy Prime shocks reality, and Jason is revived in his coffin. He crawls out, suffering from brain damage and no memory. Talia al Ghul finds him and places him in the Lazarus Pit to heal him.

Jason Todd is the second Robin —the Robin who died, the one who returned, the prodigal son, and the most broken member of the family. Now he is Red Hood .

As Jason Todd (civilian):

• Age: Currently 20-21 years old, became Robin at 12, died at 15
• Height: 1.85 m, he is the tallest and biggest of all the Robins, pure muscle
• Black hair, but with a white streak in the front since he was revived in the Lazarus Pit. Green-blue eyes, light brown skin.
• Scars all over his body - the most important one is the mark of the crowbar with which Joker killed him.
• Street style: red hooded leather jacket, ripped jeans, combat boots, baseball cap. Tattoos. He looks like a kid from the hood, not Wayne.
• He always looks angry or tired of everything.

Willis Todd and Catherine Todd – His biological parents. They lived in Crime Alley, the poorest and most dangerous neighborhood in Gotham. Willis was a henchman for Two-Face; Catherine died of an overdose. He grew up stealing to eat.
Sheila Haywood - His biological mother. It turns out Catherine wasn't his biological mother. His real mother was a doctor who abandoned him. Jason goes looking for her, and that's where Joker catches and kills him.
Willis dies in prison.

Adoptive family / Batfamily:
Bruce Wayne / Batman - Father. He found him trying to steal the tires off the Batmobile. Instead of taking him to jail, he adopted him because he saw his rage. Bruce is the person he loves and hates the most. Their relationship is broken - Bruce couldn't save him, and Jason never forgave him for not killing the Joker after his death.

4. Death and Resurrection: *
   He dies at age 13 fighting a giant clone of himself called Heretic, to save his mother and Gotham. His death devastates Bruce and Dick. Bruce goes insane and travels to Apokolips to bring him back. He revives him using the Chaos Shard.

After being revived, he no longer wants to kill. He becomes a vegetarian, an extreme animal rights activist, and believes everyone deserves a second chance.

     A student at Gotham Academy (he gets expelled frequently for fighting), leader of the Teen Titans, he is still Robin but more human. He still says "Tt" when he gets angry. He still believes he's the best, but now he says, "I'm the best Robin because I have the best brothers.* "A phrase that defines him: "I was raised to be a sword. Grayson taught me how to be human. My father taught me how to be a hero."

Tim Drake / Red Robin - Older brother. They used to hate each other. Damian tried to kill him twice to take the mantle of Robin. Now they respect each other, and Tim is like his nerdy brother who scolds him.

Jason Todd / Red Hood - Older brother. He respects him for being lethal, but thinks he's a brute.
Alfred Pennyworth – Grandfather. The only person Damian obeyed without question. His death completely devastated him.
Titus - His dog. A giant Great Dane. He loves him more than almost all of humanity.

1. The Origin - Bred to Kill:
Damian had no childhood. He was artificially created in an artificial womb by Talia and raised in the League of Assassins. By age four, he knew how to disassemble a weapon; by six, he had killed his first man; by ten, he had decapitated people. He was taught that he is superior to everyone and that love is weakness. He is the grandson of the most dangerous man in the world.

2. Arrival in Gotham:
At age 10, Talia leaves him at the Batcave door and tells Bruce, "He's your son, raise him. I can't control him anymore." Bruce is shocked. Damian arrives, saying, "I'm your heir. I'm better than all your other masked clowns, and I'm going to be the new Batman."

He tries to kill Tim to steal Robin's job, and Alfred has to slap him to teach him manners. He was arrogant, classist, bloodthirsty, and spoiled.

3. Dick Grayson's Life as Robin - His Salvation:
When Bruce dies (in Final Crisis), Dick becomes Batman. Instead of choosing Tim, he chooses Damian. That year with Dick, Damian saves his life. Dick teaches him not to kill, to tell jokes, to trust, to be a kid. Damian goes from being "Tt" who says, "Dad, I killed 12 men today," to saying, "Grayson, can we get ice cream after patrol?"

That's where he truly becomes a hero.

Damian Wayne is the 5th Robin , Batman's blood son - the assassin raised to be heir, but who chose to be a hero.

As Damian Wayne (civilian):

• Age: Currently 16-17 years old, was born in 2006 in the comics
• Height: 1.65m- 1.77m, small but intimidating
• Short, messy black hair, fair skin, emerald green eyes (like her mother Talia's)
• Always with an angry/serious face. Permanent frown.
• Small scars all over the body from training since infancy.
• Civilian attire: expensive suits, formal shirts, turtleneck sweaters, never baggy clothes. Very rich kid.

Like Robin:

• Unique outfit: black hooded cape, yellow inner lining, dark gray suit with the red and black R on the chest, red and green gloves.
• He always carries katanas; he doesn't like to use firearms.
• He's the most lethal Robin, he fights League of Assassins style - fast, dirty and to kill, although he's holding back now.
• His mask is more pointed than those of the other Robins.

He is the child with the most chaotic family tree in DC.

Biological family:
Bruce Wayne / Batman - Father. He didn't know Damian existed until he was 10 years old. Bruce loves him but doesn't know how to raise him because Damian was raised as a weapon.
Talia al Ghul - Mother. Daughter of Ra's al Ghul. She loves him in her obsessive and possessive way. She raised him to be the perfect heir to the al Ghul empire. She sees him as her creation.
Ra's al Ghul - Maternal grandfather. He wants to use Damian as his new body/heir to the world. He trained him to kill from the time he could walk.

Adoptive family / Batfamily:
Dick Grayson / Nightwing - His first Batman and his favorite brother. When Bruce "dies," Dick becomes Batman and chooses Damian as his Robin. Dick is the ONLY one who managed to make Damian smile and trust him. To Damian, Dick is his older brother and his real father.
